HSD Monopro coilovers
Did someone have ever try these coilovers (HSD Monopro)? I can get them for a reasonable price and I'm looking for user reviews.
Thanks! |

It doesn't appear they offer them for the Yaris.

Look like they do for some reason. I will try them and give the feedback as soon as possible.
Here a link I found from them online. It isn't the same store I bought them from but it is the same product. The model number is : HSDT26 I guess I'm a guinea pig. |

They were around 1000$ for the kit at a local part shop and it was what I was ready to pay for coilover.
I got the coilover today so here some early picture of them. I will install them this weekend, get my alignment monday and post final picture mayde monday or tuesday. I will try to get some picture of the installation and do a before after. I dont know how much I'm ready to drop it but one thing is certain, it must not rub. It will be my first suspension work and the outside temperature anounce is around 0*C (~32*F). It will be cool ~Lee |

They look great. Out of curiosity, where are they made? (I'm not setting you up for an argument, just curious)

Do I need to reuse the existing top hat or just the rubber with whar you are seeing on the picture?
Also, I have no idea where they are made. |

They are now installed and i figure everything. Now i need to find why my rear spring dont set flat in the socket. If you have an idea, I would like to know.
Also, i'll be ajusting the ride heigth today and the alignment is tomorrow. ~Lee Edit : I figure out what to do to fit the spring correctly. I took a quick ride and it is really bouncy, like if I didnt have any damper. I need to find how to adjust it. I will post picture after the alignment. Ok, after an other small ride, it look like I don't have any suspension at all. The dampers look like the are lock. Did I need to unlock them in any way?

Ok, rookies mistake where made. I adjust the strut length before installing it and I put it so short that it wasn't even close to compress. I finally found the general installation manual over hsd-usa.com and more information. You can see in there calalogue the Toyota Vitz coilovers and many more car, more than the euro HSD website.
I got a new alignment rendez-vous in a week. The alignment shop is busy this time of the year because of people switching to summer tire. The only problem I have so far and I need to figure out if I have a way to fix it is that I can't lower the back of my car to have the same wheel gap that I have in the front. Before installation, I had around 124mm all around and.... I lost my current mesurement... I need to take make new one, damn, but it was like 55mm in the front and 83mm in the back but my front wheel have alot of camber (really not align) and it can mess why my mesurement. I think I will do a general list of what I had to do to fit the coilovers on the car. It could help people because I had some minor suprise. Thanks for the help ~Lee |

Almost final result. I got a -75mm at the front and -45 at the back. I still need to balance it but for now it will do it. I would have love to lower the back more and raise the front but the back is already as low as it will get.
Thanks for the help. ~Lee |

The back is as low as it'll go? I thought coilovers let you put the car on the ground?

Also, these coil look to be preformance oriented and not for the look. Maybe after few miles they will settle lower but I want to get my alignment before I start rolling with it. ~Lee |
