alternator bushing JAMMED !
here is a sample found on the forum
I am talking about the "nut bushing" found on the left part of the picture (the bushing that move on the 14mm bolt) the head of that bushing is ~19mm and jammed into the "frame cast" of the alternator I cannot screw the 14mm bolt correctly to let the alternator in place securely the bushing head is not fit correctly into the casting, in fact the "summit" 2 pan of 6 pan head is jammed into the casting I did removed the alternator I've try to screw the bolt and hit on it to let the bushing moving out.. no sucess I've try a 19mm spanner and hit on it to bring it back to original position, no sucesss this is soaked in loose nut for 3 days now... I'm out of ressource heating is not a good idea hitting more is not a good idea anyone can help ? thanks |

That "bushing" isn't removable. Just the shoulder bolt that goes through it is removable.

since it is "turn in" in it seat... what should I do ?

how about grinding the casting near pan of the bushing ?

if it came off like that, you should not modify it to reinstall.
if this is the same part you took off your car and you are trying to reinstall it..... YOU are doing something wrong Many times you have to align the alternator PERFECTLY onto the bracket, and wiggle it a little at a time till the bolt holes line up

if it's separated parts, can I remove it ?
somebody replied it can't be removed right now, it now turning itself into the cast it HAS turn in, so now it's jammed in a way it can't act a moving bushing... |

If its is jammed, and not freely rotating, then you should be OK. It just has the bit of wiggle to help with getting the bolt lined up.

problem solved !
I've treated with a chemical that remove rust and soaked that part, add somes oil and a bolt + impact tool on the bolt et voilą !! |
