Install AUX on Yaris 2008

Hello, i recently bought a Toyota Yaris 2008 with the navi system.
It have a TNS400 with the removable TomTom device.
I have an iPod Touch, i tryied to use it with the radio system (iPod Compatible ) but i get a "USB ERR"..
So, i want to use my iPod with aux but i need to install the aux port..
I can buy a device that installed on the radio allow me to use aux? I read that there is some cables AUX105 that need to be connected on the rear of the radio system..

Someone can help me? I want only to install an AUX port on my Yaris..
Thanks!

Yes. The AUX105 would be the solution for adding a headphone input for your radio.

No no no. The AUX105 cables you can find on eBay are all shit and need to be rewired to actually work. If you can find one elsewhere that is more likely to work, buy two, I'll take one. To have full iPod functionality, including music info display and control, you'll need the Eclipse iPC-107p adapter cable. Plugs in the rear of the unit, and has a 30pin connector on the other end. If your iPod is newer than 2007-ish, you'll also need a Scosche Passport adapter.

In fact, OP, check underneath the cover in the center, under the parking brake. There might already be such a cable installed by the previous owner. That's where mine lives and where the iPod is hidden, too.

The USB port only does memory sticks (and maybe some MP3 players?), and it's also just a slow USB1.1 port, meaning if you plug in a flash drive with lots of music, by the time it's done indexing it, you have arrived at your destination.

That's good advise on the AUX105. I had one that came with one of my Eclipse AVN2210p head units, which was a genuine Eclipse one and it worked fine, but I forgot about the ebay clones not being wired correctly.

Be glad to find it anywhere, those have become really hard to find. Remember the stereo is from 2007 and that's not a universal cable.

The radio does not recognize your iPod Touch because the USB port is for flash drives, also known as USB sticks, only. And yes, that cable is the only one you can use.

Trust me, I bought the same radio for my car, I did all the research and installed it it myself. If you can't buy on eBay US, I'll buy it for you and mail it to you. Send me back something nice Italian ;)

Also, download and install TomTom Home to upgrade the app in the TomTom device and update the installed maps. In fact, go buy a 4 GB SD card, leave it empty, put it into the TomTom, then connect the TomTom to your computer and let it install app and maps. The included, small capacity 1 GB SD card in your TomTom is the reason why it completely restarts every time you start your car, rather than resuming where it had left off.

Possibly because normal flash drives are configured at fat or fat32 and ipods aren't. Your radio most likely is configured to read fat/fat32 files.

That's what the manual for it says, FAT16/FAT32.

FM transmitters are certainly a possibility, but why this inferior crutch when you can do it properly and with better result, for little to no money?

Hello,
If i buy the chinese AUX105 cable, someone can tell me how to rewire the cable?

Or is possible to buy only the 13 PIN connector and use it with a simple AUX cable?

Someone know what are the pin of the L/R speakers and the GND?

Thanks!!!
