How much does the stock 15 steel rims weigh?
weight will be a big factor in choosing wheels for me.

A LOT. My 16x7 Rota Slipstreams with Goodyear tires on weight about 1/2-3/4 of what the stock 15" steelies weigh. I was very surprised.

Ok. Now, that 17lb weight was with or without the tire? And if thats without the tire, how much with it on.
And, how much do those Koning rims weigh without the tire? |

Wheel Weight
The stock steel rims from my 07 Yaris "S" (15 inch) with the plastic "spoke" type wheel covers, weigh 16 pounds according to my bathroom scales. This is with the hubcap on the rim and NO tire.

Chris07LB, do you have a good postal scale that you could use? I don't have anything accurate within +-2 lbs.
The next question is : what tires are you running? toyo T1S? Falken Ziex ZE512? there are some lightweight tires out there as well, or does this make less of a difference in your decision making since the tire has more functionality than just weight?
