The best gasoline in the US
I have heard conflicting reports of who has the best gas and in turn who has the worst, and I thought I would drum up conversation here since you guys were so knowledgable on the question of which motor oil was the best. So c'mon guys, who has the best gas? Who's gas station would you push your car past before filling up? Does it even matter?
My car hasn't seen anything but shell gas its whole life, since there is one close to home and I was told they are the best in my area. |

I also use Shell. I heard it was one of the better and more consistent fuels.

Actually Shell is known to corrode the gas tank's hardware (not the tank itself though). I remember Shell paying for the repair of Chevy gas tank in one of my old jobs.
Me? I go with Marathon: it's close to home and has proven to yield good results. For the time being though I stay away from Mobile: The last timeI used it I got about 300 miles in a tank when I usually get 350-370!! |

The one that's under $2 a gallon at the pumps!
Its all the same.. some like Shell and BP/Amaco put in their own "special" additives. But when it leaves us, and gets shipped all over, its mostly all the same product. |

some of my friends here in NJ say they get better mileage with HESS gasolines. For me i just settle with the cheapest gas available... most of the time it's raceway or strauss.
and also, i thought automobile's gas tanks are now plastic instead of the old steel |

WaWa stations are very well known down here in South Jersey for having some of the cheaper prices too.

Wawa is a town in PA, and the Wawa company is in Wawa PA, and I drive through Wawa about once a month for work. I do purchase most of my fuel at Wawa, and I can tell you that the price is quite a bit different depending of where their stations are located.

WaWa is awesome. Especially the one on Route 35 in Ocean Beach.
