Vitz RS 02 Model Fog lights

Hi all, I'm New to this site,

I'm currently rocking my Vitz RS 5dr 02 model, cars pretty stock, only thing i've changed is the shifter knob the original one was way to small for my hands.


I have a question, has anyone attempted to convert their fog lights and fit them with H.I.D's.

I'm looking to do this upgrade myself so any tips would be helpful, like bulb type where you seated the Ballist so it won't be in the way of water on the road.

Do you want to do a retrofit with projectors, or just HID bulbs?

The thing about true foglights during fog weather are to have a beam that lights up far away, instead of having too much foreground lighting (makes glare). If you just throw in HID bulb in the stock housing, the light will surely shoot upwards and cause glare when it hits fog, and also normally just blind other drivers.

I was looking into retrofitting small projector, like the mini H1 Matchbox from TheRetrofitSource. I still havent done any measurements tho.
