Starter problem

The starter on my Yaris 1.3 2005 (just out of warranty) makes a funny noise - but only in very cold weather.
Is it easy to remove the starter ?
What defects should I look for on the mechanism ?

its pretty easy to remove um once you take it out go get it tested at and autoparts store for them to diagnose the problem but it may be fine just due to cold weather it probably just actin funny

It's probably cheaper to have your starter rebuilt locally by a motor repair shop,about $70.
