Hello everyone,

I finally got my Yaris 2009 last week. Do not even have the plates yet. Here is a picture from last weekends drive. This includes, powerpack, keyless entry, floor mats and all-weather pack. I am planning to tint and add cruise control. However, I am in NJ and they do not allow driver and passenger side tints.

Congrats on the new Yaris. I have a question for though. I see you got the power Package. Did you have to order your car to get the power option or was the dealer able to locate it? If you had to order it, how long did it take to come in? I'm planning on ordering in January and I am curious how long the wait is to order.

oldschool54: The dealer was able to locate several around the NJ area with Power Package. However, when I asked to get cruise control option they said it would take 2 months to order and get it. So I guess that should give you some time frame.

LISA: I would like to see how your tints look. Please do mention what percent they are. I was thinking of getting 30% or 50% ones.

The car looks GREAT! CONGRATS! I hope you'll reconsider the tinting, and leave it as is. IMO, tinting looks a lil' ghetto...

Here are a couple..I've done other mods, as well..Here legal tint is 30% for the rear three and 50% for the passenger/drivers side...none for the windshield. I got 20% for the back 3 and 40% for the side two...just out of legal. I've gotten some long stares from cops, but nobody has bothered me about it, yet....

Let's not show the new guy how silly we can be, huh, Bobby?

The tinting makes the car look good. Nuff Said.

Thanks LISA! Your car looks great. I do like your wheels. My reason for tinting is this: I drive south for an hour in the morning and north for an hour in the afternoon. That means my left side is being hit by the sun every single trip. I just don't want to end up as Harvey Two-Face!

I like having my windows tinted just for that reason...keeps the kiddos in the back cool so I don't have to run my air so much. And my wheels...I just painted the hubcaps until I can afford proper shoes. =)

Don't worry about Bobby...he likes to stir things up once in a while.

Great idea on painting the hubcaps! I am not sure if I am that daring but maybe later on when the car has got some miles on it.

Eh..it's easy! We used to have a DIY before the hack...if you want instructiosn I could tell you how. It ends up looking pretty decent for next to nothing.

And they can be repainted if they get scuffed up, which I'm sure I'll have to do after winter.

Thanks. I took the picture while parked and added some radial motion blur in photoshop to simulate the car being driven! It was a beautiful day however.

Each to his/her own. Personally, I feel that when it comes to accessorizing, less is more. The factory look is fine for me. I don't want tacky stickers all over my windows advertising products, or spraying my whells. It does not look elegant. However, it's good for Lisa...

I agree, Lisa; less is more!!! To me, bumper stickers and decals are the "tacky tattoos" of the car world, LOL... Not to offend tat folks.
