Am thinking of adding this to my 2009 Toyota Yaris hatchback; anyone done this? Did you go to the dealership? How did it work out for you? The cost?

Are you talking about an after market CC or the factory one that comes with the power package?

I am considering this as well and am in the same boat as you (2009 hatch). I requested a quote from my dealer. They quoted $599. The rostra aftermarket costs about $250. I requested information on installation from a distributor, but I have not received anything back. I have not been to another place to get an estimate for the Rostra install...not sure where I would go for that. Let me know what you find out.

If it's that much, I doubt I'll bother.!!! I've lived without it this long, and besides have heard some "horror stories" about people losing control with cruise on ice and in rain...

Rule #1 of CC...never use when it's raining or snowing!

I recently bought my Yaris HB (http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10634). I ordered my CC kit and it arrived last night. I ordered it from TRDSparks (http://www.trdsparks.com/displayparts.php?Mdl_dtl=578&Part_cat=25&parts_id=1947) which costed me around $200. I plan to install it myself as it seems their instructions are quite straight forward.

I had an after market cruise installed. Can't find the damn thing. Actually I can, it's hidden behind the steering wheel where you have to fumble for it. There are two holes on the steering wheel, the one on the right side was where the cruise was suppose to go but the 'gentlemen' at the after market place didn't know how to hook it up and didn't bother consulting the Toyota dealership who jobbed the thing out. They hung it in the worse location possible. I also made the mistake of having them install a remote door opener. When you lock the door from the door the unlock feature doesn't work on the fob. As far as the airplane wing they hung on the back instead of the Toyota spoiler, don't get me started. . . .
Love the rest of the car though.

I found the web site and they have a good price. Have you installed your kit, and how hard was it? I haven't seen a write-up on this, has anyone done one?
