View Full Version : 3-door liftback S models
Toyota says they're released and has pricing for them, but they don't have them listed on the "build your yaris" section of the toyota web site.
When I put in my zip code, I only get the options to built the base model yaris in 3, 4, and 5-door models. When I put in zip codes for other parts of the country, I can build "S" models for the sedan and the 5-door liftback, but not the three door.
Is the 3-door "S" not available everywhere? This is really the only Yaris I am considering. The 5-door only comes automatic and I think the sedans are hideous. And I'd only like the 3-door S because it's pretty well optioned and still not very expensive, but I want to see how much it costs the way I want it, and right now I can't find out much of anything from the Toyota website.
Thanks,
b
No one knows where in the world you can buy a Yaris liftback S?

OK, so forget the website. What's wrong with walking into a dealership and doing it the old way?
I'm waiting for the dealer to return my email. There are no "S" models in stock within 100 miles of here according to the dealership websites. There's not even a manual model in stock for me to drive. Plus I try to avoid car salesmen when possible because they tend to be the scumbaggiest of the scumbags.

I wouldn't trust the website when it comes to what they have in stock, when I bought mine, I kept going to the website and the cars that it showed in stock were always the same, which surprisingly were not at the dealerships in my area.
I hate salesmen too, but you'll get more accurate information if you call them or even better, go in person.

In my experience (and boy, did I have an experience buying this car), the only salesmen you'll want to end up doing business with are the ones who WILL respond to your e-mails and deal with you online...
The others just want to get you "in their clutches"...
I found a young salesman who was e-mail savvy and we practically did the whole deal online; just came in to sign the papers and pick up the car; no smarmy "charm" involved.
I know how to deal with car salesmen, and I've accepted that much of the world is not intelligent enough to use information resources like the internet to arrive at the dealer knowing exactly what car and options they want, making car salesmen a necessary evil..
I'm just trying to find out if anyone has ever seen a Yaris liftback S in real life or knows where they exist.

You'll notice that the owner in the second post worked with a dealer to find one.
That's all I need to know.
Thanks for your help... sorry for the huge inconvenience.

I was having the same problem u were, I could not find the yaris 3 door liftback s 2009 in toyota's "configurator". I tried putting in different zip codes for areas all over the country.
If you want to build any 2009 yaris model put in 90210 (beverley hills, CA) for the zip code. The only model 90210 does not have is the 5 door liftback s, if you want to build a 5 door liftback s, put in 07419 (new york, NY):biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::respekt:
Although it is :bs::bs::bs::bs: that all the yarises are not available everywhere!!!!:bs::bs::bs::bs::bs::thumbdown::thum bdown::thumbdown:

Also you can try 75965. They have the 3 dr S as an option.....but The "Build Your Own" option is a joke and is not accurate when it comes to different features. You can not special order a Yaris. You can only get what Japan ships to your port. For example, Japan will not ship a 5 DR S to my port. Also, all Toyotas in my region come with a $349 Vehicle Sheild Package weather you want it or not.

I just got my LB S 3door 5-speed yesterday. The dealer said there were a total of 5 for sale in all of SoCal, and none of them could be ordered without the power package. :frown:
Love the car though.

Funny thing is it was my third colour choice. I preference list was:
black sand
blazing blue
meteorite
bayou blue
They didn't have any of the first two, so meteorite it was. At least I'm used to the colour, as my old Mercedes is silver.
And yeah I have taken some pics with my crappy phone camera. I'll see if they turned out ok. If not I'll have to steal my good camera away from my 9-year-old son, who is currently "borrowing" it.
Hey, thanks guys, that is exactly the information I'm looking for.
And yes, the two local dealers I contacted still have not returned my emails.

Forget the emails. Most don't even reply and those that do reply are usually
automated replies. Best bet is to actually go to a dealer. Even if you don't like
dealerships, talk to them directly and let them know what you're looking for.

Also don't go by what a dealership says is in your area. They are only checking with dealerships that they are willing to trade with. When I got mine, the first place I went said to said that there was no one in the state that had what i was looking for. I then went to the dealership right down the street from my house and they had exactly what i wanted.
