I just got an email from my local Toyota dealership announcing the end-of-year "Toyotathon." There were no financing or special lease deals being offered on the Yaris, only $750 back on 2008s and $500 on 2009s.

All the other models have better deals associated with them, except the Prius, which is not listed.

yep...still vascillating on a 3door 5 speed with the convenience package. And wondering if the deal will be any sweeter on January 6th (the current offer expires January 5th).

I would recommend looking at the prices on the Carmax web site. They have two toyota lots that sell new toyotas. I was acutally going to drive to Wisconsin and buy one but a local dealer at the last second matched the price so I bought it from them.

Just find the price on the carmax site and email each toyota dealer in your local area and ask them to meet...or beat the price. In this economy, I would bet that most of them would match the price.

Don't talk to the dealers on the phone...just use email to communicate. It gives you the edge and puts them at a disadvantage.

They must be giving better deals at the dealership by my house cause the whole back lot of Yaris's they had is gone.

When shopping for my 09, I visited all the dealers within 100 miles. It was interesting to note how many Yaris were on each lot. Some had a dozen or more and others just had one or two. I tended to gravitate towards the ones with fewer cars gathering dust.

Just got an email from the Toyota dealer from which I bought my 2008 back in October, they are now offering a $1500 rebate on all 2008 Yarii! :hitcomputer:

And no word on the recall!

Does any dealerships even have any 2008s? My local dealer sold their last 08 back at the end of August.

I haven't been by there in a while, but the last time I was they had a few 08 LBs in stock...

It's Red McCombs here in San Antonio, in case you can check their inventory online.

Actually, I checked this morning online (http://redmccombstoyota.com/InventorySearch.aspx?p=2) and they have one LB (an auto in Meteorite Metallic) for $16,341 and two sedans (an auto in Flint Mica and a standard in Jade Sea Metallic) for $15,711 and $15,114 respectively.

No wonder they can cut $1500 off, those prices seem $1500 or more too high!

My local dealer has $1500 back on ALL Yaris's, 2008s and 2009s even though they do not have any 2008s.
