did you look at the sockets?

they're hollow

you can put your allen key thru the middle of this and hold it with pliers or something.. i dunno

that or get an impact gun :)

If you haven't busted your knuckles yet and lost some blood....your not doing it right.

it turns the normal way. Right to tighten, left to loosen.

You have to give it some effort, maybe yours is stuck.

Spray it with WD40 and walk away from it for 10 minutes.

Mine took half the skin off my hand I was so cut up from it.

Good job.

For future reference, an impact wrench makes this about a hundred times easier.

How do you fit an impact wrench between the strut and the wiper cowl area? You have about 1-2 inches in there. Barely enough room for the allen key and normal wrench to fit.
The rears you can use an impact wrench, but not the front.

Unless there is access to the strut with the whole wiper cowl removes which I haven't done on these cars yet.

i've never attempted removing the struts without pulling the wiper cowl.. and i don't think i ever will..

after all it's only like 12 10mm bolts lol

for future reference...if you offest the allen so it pins itself up against the side of the cowl or whatever is adjacent to the bolt, it will wedge itself in and you wont have to hold it. Thats what i did.
