Russel, would you like the list of cars that couldn't keep up? It really isn't slow, I promise.

I know I'm just teasing. :)

You got your dyno sheet?

ChinoCharles

Its on Youtube smartass. 179 dyno tested WHP on this kit on an automatic.

PETERPOOP

Wow. No need for insults.

Have you dynod YOUR car yet? By your response, i'll take that as a no?

ChinoCharles
04-29-2009, 03:13 PM
I've answered that question 5 times for you. Lay off the weed, its killing your short-term memory.

PETERPOOP
04-29-2009, 03:16 PM
No weed here, drug tested for work. Well you are giving out HP numbers as if you know the true HP on your car right now. I assumed you woudln't do that if you didn't dyno'd your car. I was wrong.

I'll say low 15s on the 1/4 mile.

ChinoCharles
04-29-2009, 03:22 PM
OK junior, seems like you need a lesson. Try and keep up.

All dynos are different. I could go and dyno my car tomorrow and read out @ 200 WHP. Does that mean it has 200 WHP? No. I could use a different dyno and get 160 WHP. Its all relative.

In fact, your car likely doesn't have 133 WHP either. It had that on ONE PARTICULAR DYNO. The fact that you claim you somehow have the "fastest s/c Yaris ever" just proves you don't even grasp basic car concepts.

The only way to know what MY car makes would be to dyno it before the turbo and then after and compare, and even then its somewhat ambiguous. Nobody actually does that, though. Why waste the money? I'm not a frickin' parts developer, I'm some dude with a car. The only reason I will be going to a dyno is to check my AFR and get it retuned if need be. I could frankly care less about the numbers, because they don't mean anything in the long run. Track times > dyno numbers.

The shop that built the kit dynoed it @ 179 WHP. That is the most accurate number I have so that is what I'm claiming. If you have a problem with it, go stick your peter in your poop, Peterpoop.

/rant

God it feels good to finally be able to say what I'm thinking.

lol. Oh ok, sorry. I had no idea of that concept. I guess that's why I dynod on a dynapack two different times (stock and w/ SC) and then I also dynod on a dynojet. I also didn't make a thread that stated that and didn't discuss how every dyno is different.

Thanks for the lesson big sis.

ChinoCharles

So what did you dyno at without the s/c? 132 WHP?

PETERPOOP

Can you please say that you just got owned. Thanks.

Done in your thread for now. I'll be back to comment on the 15s you run. :burnrubber:

Here Peter, this post is from the people that made the kit. Oh, and it was two years ago. I had already been busting my ass on this forum trying to get NST to make us parts and making intakes and calling Toyota, so excuse me if I get frustrated when some know-nothing kid starts arguing nothingness in my threads. Includes a lot of information that is common sense... so I know it'll be of use to you.

Reliability:

A turbo car is as reliable as the tune, we have turbo tC with over 60k on it and our personal turbo xb with 40k of pure hell put through it these cars are on stock engines and our in perfect running order. If a car is tuned well with a well designed kit the car should last a very long time with an aftermarket turbo kit. I know we have all heard horror stories and I am sure the Yaris world will be no different. Just remember that it is what you make it, if you can’t afford to play then don’t.

You should only turbo the car when you have the ability to buy all the parts that are needed to make it run correctly. Most of this is included in the kit but you get the idea.

Performance

Our Yaris kits add roughly 100whp to mix; this will make for an exceptionally fast car taking in to consideration the weight. Low 14 high 13 ¼ passes are a reality with tires and a good driver.

This kit you will see some lag below 3k this is very minimal and the car accelerates so fast that you are not here for very long.

This kit will come on .6 bar roughly 6.5-7psi. This kit will add 2-5mpg to your already unreal gas mileage when driven in off boost settings (highway)

Price & availability

We will have these kits in stock at the end of next week. We have not decided on pricing yet but you can expect it to be in the 3-4k range. This will be a bolt on kit including everything needed to install and operate this kit. This is not like some of the other kits on the market that do not include fuel tuning components.

Stays tuned to ZPIracing.net for updates and let us know if you have any other questions. I am sure there are 100 grammatical errors in this post I am sorry it is late and I suck at English. You think I'm just pulling this shit out of the sky?

I will point out, with due respect, that 133 whp does not make the car the "fastest" -- it may make it the most powerful, though.

"Fastest" would be tested by racing the car and getting a timeslip, in point of fact.

Tamago
04-29-2009, 03:51 PM
155 whp didn't make my xA the FASTEST either, but it was still over a second quicker 0-60 than peterpoop

Here's a simple formula for calculating imaginary 1/4 mile times:
HP (as determined by butt dyno) divided by IQ, times Ego.

Examples:

130 hp /130 IQ * 10 = 10 sec 1/4 mile
130 / 100 * 10 = 13

As you can see, the stupider you are, the slower your time.

130/130 * 20 = 20
130/100 * 20 = 26

Inflated ego figures, coupled with stupidity, net even slower times.

Conclusion? For best results don't be a dumbass, keep your ego in check, and let the car do the rest :biggrin:

Good old Dragway 42. It ain't pretty but it does the trick.

I'd love to go to Mid-Ohio this year and take driving lessons. That would be AWESOME.

D42 is one of the last tracks in our area to still run 1/4 mile as well.

33OH

Our most local is Magnolia. It's only 1/8th mile but it's a nice track, and never crowded like D42.

You don't want to miss the time attacks. They make it into a road course. It's definitely all about handling.

I took my sportbike out last year and won.

You're right. I used to lurk, about two years before I registered or had reason to register, but I remember the Micro Image forums and storefront too. But I don't remember may specific members from when I started lurking late 2013/early 2014. Most prominent from that time period was Garm and blown_xA. This xB dude, if he was anything like Chino Chuckler above, it's worth a laugh to read.
