Why do rotary engines go "hmmmmmmmm" and pistons go "boing boing"? :D
Conventional engines use pistons that go up and down as were Rotary engines use a triangular wedge that rotates. My guess on the "hmmmm" would be due to the rotating mass as were the "boing" comes from the ups and downs. Think back to the first time you had sex, what happened? I'm sure it went "Boing". Now fast forward to now, I'm sure you found new and exciting ways to get the "hmmmmmmm" out. Be well!

WEAK answer........
KCALB SIRAY
05-12-2009, 12:37 PM
WEAK answer........
1) dont drink or smoke - its like being in a hospital -when ur down..u cant take this stuff. - dont even take it when u recover -its ur choice.
i did recover from candida which took 2 months..but i was doing very very very light drinking beeer and few smokes( 1 a day) but i got back candida plus now a red urethra.
2) no spicy food - no milk - no sugars - no white bread -minimal meat (no red meat )-no coffee- organic tea is fine - but avoid it altogether if you can
3) ok. things u got to take to help cure this -
1) the course of doxycline or whatever antibiotics doc gives u ..try 2 weeks if stil infection in you.
- point i like to make is when u recover - u will see stress in your penis - this are post NGU sympthoms etc...anything which been thru stress needs time to heel or might never heel completely. so guys relax! TS NORMAL !
i been thru this !
2) take saw palmetto - cranberry extracts on seperate occasions spread it throughout the day twice - grape seed oil and fresh lemon in warm water ( total 8 big cups a day ) spread it the day - this is twice a day
3) DRINK LOTS OF LUKE WARM WATER!! .- to remove the toxins
4) think positive that u will be cured or u would get much better and u will get thru this - mind plays a part - why i say this - just think when ur asleep pain is not there - possibly ur not moving -but still..the mind plays a part. keep telling urself u will recover thru this
4) for candida guys - afte showers pull the skin backward and let it air for 10 mins - make sure its dry and then u apply the generously the antifungal creams plus tetracycline ointment 3 times a day for 2 weeks - i did recover finally. but came back after 5 months - i think it was hygene and drinking etc - not worth it guys. trust me.
but im much much better now. living take it eeasy and at least healthy :)
5) after peeing..just wet the tip to free of urine and wipe drywith kleenex GENTLY
6) eat fresh vegetables and fruits - and non sugar plain yogurt
7) no bananas or high sugar fruits - funguus goes wild on sugar
8_ wear boxer shorts - and apply light layer vaseline evey 3 days to reduce any friction - your discretion
9) first two months on course of medicines - dont do sex - just light masturbation every2-3 days - why ?? to remove the toxins in u ( as some urologists suggests here). use your discretion and not let fungus run all over your penis -

Why is structured finance taking down the banks?
Banks depended on wholesale financing of their mortgages from eager investors instead of maintaining sufficient capital to back up the loans. Sadly enough, this is one of the areas of my job that keeps me employed by investigating scams.
Why do dogs jump on the driver seat when you leave them alone in the car?
Dogs follow as seen. The path you choose to exit the vehicle will alert their sense of direction and naturally allow then to figure out which way to escape when presented with the opportunity if the dog has not been properly trained or feels threatened.
Why do you have to take your raincoat to the dry cleaner?
If we are talking wool, having it cleaned by water will/could cause the item to shrink. Also applying water will give off a musty oder, sometimes smelling like a wet dog or dog urine. Once it has dried, the smell should go away, but can return just as easily. Using a mineral spirit should help with heavily soiled areas of the jacket.
Dear KCALB...
At a movie theater which arm rest is yours ?
First come first serve. No sharing, it doesn't work. This will only trouble you during your movie and require you to divert your attention to what you have come to pay for.
Dear KCALB...
How far east can you go before you're heading west?
if you were never heading west to begin, you can't
Dear KCALB,
Why does that woodchuck keep chucking f*cking wood?
almost as good as "which came first".
Here is what it comes down to....
Some say it depends on three factors:
The woodchuck's desire to chuck said wood.
The woodchuck's need to chuck the aforementioned wood.
The woodchuck's ability to chuck the wood.
Others say:
He would chuck, he would, as much as he could, if a woodchuck could chuck wood.
If he could chuck wood, the woodchuck would chuck as much as he could!
A woodchuck would chuck as much wood as a woodchuck could chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood
Dear KCALB,
In England, do the escalators pass each other on the opposite sides too? I don't want to accidentally get on the wrong escalator and face angry riders coming towards me.
No difference than ours, but they do tend to not follow the "stand to the right" slow crowd.
Dear KCALB ...
When does it stop being partly cloudy and start being partly sunny?
If you consider partly cloudy a quarter or less of the sky having clouds present, than partly sunny would be when a quarter or less of the sky has sun shining through the clouds
Dear KCALB ...
If money doesn't grow on trees then why do banks have branches?
one that cannot be answered by a direct answer but consider this as an alt by asking why a bank has more branches and some have few...To better serve the customer. With more branches in one single location, the customer is more likely to not bank with the comp.
LAST BUT NOT LEAST ....
Blackberry Curve or iPhone?
I don't have either, but if you follow what people tell you, you'll never be happy. Look at the applications and see what works for you. The Curve outsells the iPhone, so that might help in your quest
If our universe is expanding from the big bang,if it was possible to get to the edge of that expanding wave from the explosion what would you see looking outwards?
Or
Are quarks and leptons actually fundamental, or are they made up of even more fundamental particles?
I'd have to say no on the edge of the universe. All answers to this would be basedon theory, not fact. It would be impossible reach if there isn't a definate boundry to contain any evidence.
The quarks and leptons go beyond my knowledge of atoms and such. Too many matter particles to follow and which one is a beauty, up and down blah blah blah, so I'm gonna have to say good question until I can research more on it. I'll keep it on the back burner:thumbsup:

This actually has no purpose at all. Its based on a tradition rather than for some reason of easier strokes to the next number, yadda yadda. Early registers were built with the number 0 at the bottom so it just kind of became a tradition.

Good question and it could come down to a few things, but off the top of my head and way off the subject really, Free Market were a business can be governed by the laws of supply and demand, not restrained by government interference, regulation or subsidy. That's just a small portion of it. Here's food for thought and even further off of your question, but reminded me of what I read today. Hugo Chavez just launched his own cell phone company. I'll leave it at that and you can draw your own conclusion on that one.

Transmitted light is made up of a of colors. The longest wavelengths of light are on the red end of the spectrum and the shortest wavelengths are on the blue/violet end of the spectrum. When sunlight enters our atmosphere it crashes into oxygen and nitrogen. The color with the shorter wavelength is spread more by this crash. Because violet and blue are the shortest of the wavelengths the sky appears to be violet / blue. But your eyes are more sensitive to blue light than they are violet light, so we see the sky as blue.
cats and dogs
The phrase is supposed to have originated in England in the 17th century when city streets were filthy and heavy rain would occasionally carry along dead animals.
The idea that seeing dead cats and dogs floating by in storms would cause people to coin this phrase is just about believable. People may not have actually thought the animals had come from the sky, but might have made up the phrase to suit the occasion.
A KCALB is a rare breed. If you see one, it's considered good luck. If you feed one after dark, it will multiply.

hmmm, do I really want to answer this? lol. I'll take a shot at it based on my own trek into the world of women. I'd have to say the one thing women want is to be independent. The ability to stand up and say what they want and to be heard by all, not just men. Now, take it a step further and go down the road of the sexual nature of women. Guys have to remember they don't think like us when it comes to things like "what turns us on". It's a different ball game. Pay attention to your woman, or someone else will.

Dear Kcalb,
I work with an Indian lady. The crazy Punjabi we both work with says she's from southern India, don't exactly recall which state but it's not Tamil-Nadu, maybe Andra Pradesh.
She is very dark complected, almost jet black. She has a wonderful figure, a dignified poise, is unflappable and intelligent. I love to listen to her talk and like her presence. Of course watching her butt is an invigorating experience as well.
I am concerned that while she is in her forties and probably experienced with Indian men she might find my pale skin, British features, green eyes and clipped privates a bit tough to take. I doubt that there are many guys who look like me in Southern India, though I could possibly pass as an Afghan or inhabitant of the Causcasus mountains in a dark alley.
So how does one court a person from those distant exotic climes? Any clues you can deliver from your myriad experiences and past would be most helpful.

Dear Kcalb,
I work with an Indian lady.

Alright as the token Indian guy on YW, I'll fill this one *turns-on grandpa's thick 7/11-esque accent*
Unfortunately most Indian women won't go for anyone outside our race. They only want Indian guys who are very closely in touch with our culture. The best advice I can give you is to learn and embrace as much as you can about our culture. At the same time, you should also encourage her to try out things in the American culture (DON'T take her to a steakhouse LOL). Not much else that I can say, especially for someone who's already set in her ways at her age. Hope things go well

Oh. Sorry about the misunderstanding. We have two Indians in the Department (and a few more in R&D).
The Crazy Punjabi (he's a nice kid, and an ethnic Sikh) told me that she was from some state that begins with an "A". He's a trip, he keeps stealing furniture from other people's offices. He also likes to give orders. He won't wear a turban, grow a beard nor carry a knife. I asked him about that and he said he didn't "fully embrace" Sikhism. He does have a bracelet, I think it's made of metal, so I guess he's partially in the gang still.
We usually don't discuss religion at work. We're intensely into business and find our common ground in goals.
She never claimed to be from the Punjab. She is damn clever. What does bug me is that she's a contractor and not a full employee. So she's in a ticklish situation. I'd like to her join the regular employees and wouldn't bat an eye if avoiding anything unofficial would help her.
I wasn't singling you out as a "token Indian" but rather figured you were raised around Indian folk and would know their ways better than I. Like if I met a French exchange student and I knew you were from France.

oddly enough, I dated an Indian woman. She was older than me, was married to the same guy since she was a teen, and left due to his neglect to her as a partner and physical abuse towards her well being. Not saying jojo is wrong, but there are some that will take a chance on finding a relationship outside their own race. All it takes is for you to be you, not witty, not suave, not anything other than you. She has already seen the "work" guy, but never seen the "after work" guy. If both of you are comfortable in being around each other during work, it's pretty safe to say she will like to have company outside of work. But, you never know until you ask. As I told our young YW couple that just got married, it all started as 50% chance, the rest was up to them. Take your chance. As for the butt wiggle issue, :headbang: rock on with your bad self!

Gene
Each company has its own priority of how things should be packaged since they do not operate under the same name. Take a look at a package of hot dogs and see how much it weighs most likely it weighs a pound. Having it weigh this much and the size of the package make it a great size to store in the fridge without taking up too much space. Bread companies have a problem of how there pans are set up. The reason that a dozen is such a traditional bread company number is that it can be set up in as a pan with 3X4 or 4X3. When it comes to pans and ovens, they are looking for a well oiled machine and a pattern that works to save time and power. Ten buns means it must be 2 rows of 5, which simply doesn't always work. The 3X4 rectangle is more convenient.

Truth is, I'm convinced Indians dating outside their race would be more common among Christians. If Gene's is of that religion, and his love interest is also of that religion, it just might make it that much easier for him to ask her out. If she's Hindu or Muslim, it might take ALOT of persistence to get her interest, especially if she's got that old country mindset. It's not impossible though. Just telling it like it is.

It could easily be fixed by taking a look at your diet. have to ask yourself, do I have too many simple vs complex carbs, too much protein that my body cannot break down etc? Send me a list of what you eat on a regular basis and I'll take a look at your diet and see what I can do for you.

What Causes Colon Cancer?
There are several causes for colorectal cancer as well as factors that place certain individuals at increased risk for the disease. There are known genetic and environmental factors.
People at risk for colorectal cancer:
The biggest risk factor is age. Colon cancer is rare in those under 40 years. The rate of colorectal cancer detection begins to increase after age 40. Most colorectal cancer is diagnosed in those over 60 years.
Have a mother, father, sister, or brother who developed colorectal cancer or polyps. When more than one family member has had colorectal cancer, the risk to other members may be three-to-four times higher of developing the disease. This higher risk may be due to an inherited gene.
Have history of benign growths, such as polyps, that have been surgically removed.
Have a prior history of colon or rectal cancer.
Have disease or condition linked with increased risk.
Have a diet high in fat and low in fiber.
Need To Know:
Who is at risk for inherited forms of colorectal cancer?
People whose relatives developed colorectal cancer before age 60.
Those with relatives who have other forms of cancer, particularly breast or ovarian cancer.
Those with a family history of stomach, abdominal, bowel, bone, or liver cancer. In the past, colorectal cancer was misdiagnosed as stomach, abdominal, or bowel cancer, or, in later stages, the cancer may have spread to the bone or liver.
Distant relatives, such as cousins, aunts, uncles, etc., who develop colorectal cancer may raise the risk of colorectal cancer for other distant family members. The relative increase in risk is not as high as in those who have first-degree relatives, such as parents or siblings with colorectal cancer.
Having certain diseases or conditions may place people at increased risk for colorectal cancer. These include
Chronic ulcerative colitis, an inflammatory condition of the colon. People in this risk category have long-term disease, most for ten years or more.
Crohn's disease, which is an inflammatory disease of the gastrointestinal tract. This disease may increase colorectal cancer risk, although not as much ulcerative colitis.
A history of breast, uterine, or ovarian cancer in women.
Inherited a specific colorectal cancer syndrome. Those with an inherited syndromes may develop colorectal cancer at a much younger age, in their 30s or even younger.
Inherited Colon Cancer Syndromes
Inherited colon cancer syndromes is a name given to a group of different types of colon cancer found to be directly inherited, or passed down from one generation to the next. Over the past several years, genetic forms of colon cancer have been identified and genetic tests developed.
Need To Know:
Genetic forms of colon cancer represent a smaller percentage of all colon cancer cases. However, those with a strong family history of colon cancer may consider talking to a genetic counselor. Those at high risk may choose to undergo screening at an earlier age.
There are two basic forms of colon cancers recognized as having a genetic basis:
Familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP) is a rare genetic disorder of the colon characterized by the development of hundreds of polyps on the inner walls of the colon. People with FAP are at a higher risk for developing colon cancer at an early age (in their early 30s).
The treatment of choice is to have an operation to remove the diseased colon to avoid the eventual development of colon cancer. This operation can be done without the need for a colostomy.
Hereditary nonpolyposis colon cancer (HNPCC) is a form of colon cancer that runs in certain families. HNPCC is divided into two types:
Type I: People with this form of HNPCC can develop colon cancer before age 50.
Type II: People with this disorder are not only at higher risk for colon cancer before age 50 but are also at high risk for uterine, ovarian, thyroid, bladder, and other cancers.
Nice To Know:
Reliable blood tests can now determine if a person has certain genes responsible for inherited colon cancer. Inherited colon cancer makes up about 20 percent of colon cancer cases.
Gastrointestinal Carcinoid Tumors
Gastrointestinal carcinoid tumors are a rare form of cancer affecting the intestinal tract, including the stomach, small intestine, appendix, colon, or rectum. Carcinoid tumors do not usually cause major, recognizable symptoms and can take years to develop. In most cases, these tumors are accidentally discovered during abdominal surgery. These tumors secrete hormones - groups of chemicals released into the bloodstream that have an effect elsewhere in the body.
In some people, carcinoid tumors may cause symptoms known as "carcinoid syndrome":

But it seems as though they are in recession now because we are. I was hearing that the Euro middle class was living with many of the same material things the US middle class was in the last decade or so. This was something I was always told was untrue before. It just seems like America was far better from 1900-1950, but from 1950-now we've been in decline while Europe has slowly but steadily gotten better. But then I still read how their unemployment rates have and still are far above ours and when you can't find a job in France/Germany ect that you literally cannot. That being said I am still a capitalist. But all my volunteer work at local shelters and my under-grad years of studying politics and world history has me questioning just how much I actually know. But I'm kinda threadjacking KCALB's thread. It's technically ask him. Maybe I should start a separate thread for this and just let him answer here??

But it seems as though they are in recession now because we are.
...not exactly. The Europeans have been slowly losing their standard of living since the cost of oil rose in the 1970s. They've lost more manufacturing work to Asia (and the US) than the US itself has to Asia.
Case in point has been the trend towards reducing the number of hours per week which are worked. Does anyone imagine that reducing your labor output magically makes you more prosperous over the long run? If the State raises your wages then the prices of goods also eventually rise. Who does this hurt if not the people who work for a living?
I was hearing that the Euro middle class was living with many of the same material things the US middle class was in the last decade or so. This was something I was always told was untrue before.
Americans have always had more land than Europeans. We don't have that same "Class" issue going on in the US, with old money owning gigantic chunks of land while ordinary people have a "parcel".
We had more oil because the US is one of the largest producers of oil in the world.
Where the Europeans have it "good" is that they don't send their military on adventures all over the world. That Imperial routine is mighty expensive.
It just seems like America was far better from 1900-1950, but from 1950-now we've been in decline while Europe has slowly but steadily gotten better. But then I still read how their unemployment rates have and still are far above ours and when you can't find a job in France/Germany ect that you literally cannot. Not like here where "I can't get a job" means I can only get a job at Walmart or Mcdonalds. :iono:

We have Europeans who come here. Ask them what it's like. They'll probably tell you what the ones I work with tell me. I work alongside of people from Spain, Italy, Germany and Great Britain. Europe is comfortable, it's safe but there are "challenges". Especially if you're not "well born".
Just last week an engineer from northern Italy and I were discussing calculators. Back in the 1980s when he was in high school he bought an HP for about $400.00 in Lire. Took him "all summer long" to earn it. How much money could a US kid in high school make in three months? More or less than $400.00 dollars? At that same time I made over $1000.00 working minimum wage (lots of OT) in one summer.
I live in a "blue state". Were it not so quiet I would probably move because of all of the statist non-sense that goes on here. We have all sorts of "programs" and special "industrial zones" that grow more weed patches than businesses. Most of my peers left the area years and years ago. The elected clowns have more government programs than Carter has little pills but things never seem to improve all that much.
Meanwhile we have some of the wealthiest people in the US out in the mountains. They live real well. In grotesquely large mansions with kept grounds and loyal staff. We're told that taxes are "graduated" to "make things more equal". Yeah, right.

because like any other system it is corrupt and unequal. I come from a former communist country and we all hated that system, no matter how hard you worked you would get passed over by some crooked and well connected slacker that would take your place, now i was too young to experience this myself but my parents did. socialism/communism means that everyone is equal but that just in theory in real life it goes against the basic human nature of being better/stronger/wealthier than the other person. Karl Marx had a great theory and a beautiful concept except it was an utopia. none of the present systems are perfect and there will never be one.
If "like any other system it is corrupt and unequal" then that's really not a reason to dislike it....
If you think success under Capitalism is based on merit then you haven't worked in the corporate world at all. Cronyism is a human condition not a symptom of political/social ideology. Have you seen how great the income disparity in the US is these days? I have no problem with people making lots of money but first they must deserve it. Unfortunately that's usually not the case as evinced by the financial sector meltdown that still rewarded those responsible with huge pay and bonuses.
A political/social system is only as "honest" as those that operate within it and seeing as how the majority of people are corrupt or corruptable and ultimately self interested it doesn't matter what tenets or rules apply. In other words, people suck.

Here's a serious question that I've been wavering on for the first time in my life... Which is superior Capitalism or Socialism? :) I don't need what the best possible economy is, just which of these two is better.
Neither is "superior" and the answer depends on where you stand. Are you extremely wealthy? Or are you working class? Are you lower middle class or ... something in between?
To really answer this question for yourself (and remember, the answer that is right for you may not be right for me and vice-versa) you need to study economics. I mean it seriously. Just a basic JC class will help a lot.
I took Econ 101 and Econ 102 (Micro and Macro econ.) , one of them with a "liberal" teacher and another one with a hard core republican, a long time ago, and I pretty much got my answer right around that time. And you know a basic Econ class isn't has hard as people tell you. But seriously, it will help you answer that question for yourself because nobody else can and there is way too much misinformation out there.
By the way, "capitalism" in its purest form hasn't existed in the US in a very long time, I mean in a few decades at least. That's all I can tell ou on a car forum.

 I don't agree completely with you (I think the US economy remained strong throughout the 50's, and Europe, right now is having problems as well, well in part because the financial system is kind of intertwined all over the world) but you're still on the right track IMO, and I like the questions you are asking yourself.
My brother lives in Europe. We bought the same japanese cars (his was slightly better, actually). We have similar electronic equipment at home. His standard of living might be higher in some ways (he doesn't spend as much for health care and health insurance, and has way more vacation time than we do) but we have other stuff in the US.
BTW, I was looking for the original comment from PK but I can't find it. Did it get deleted? PK's folks (from what I understand from previous posts), come from a "true communist" country. No fun at all. You don't want that model. But communism is NOT socialism, so let's not confuse everything.

NVM - I see them in your garage. I don't think you need to add anything to coordinate the colors, but you could consider a steering wheel cover with blue accents, shift boot/brake boot with blue thread, something blue to hang from your rearview etc. I wouldn't go plastering the exterior with paint or graphics unless you wanted a racing stripe or color the area around the grills with some vinyl/paint.

Use the Gold/Magenta Kit on the cover. When you are showing it at a show, the sun will really make it pop, and it won't be too far off the purple. The gold part is just and added bonus. Yes, please check the thread as I was I believe two sightings ago. He spent two weeks with me and stayed an extra fews days as my pass along person was to meet up with me at the Import Alliance Show, our very own MOD, John. I had a great time with the little guy. Quite the ladies man I must say

that's right, that's right, I forgot... (can't think straight this morning for some reason )
OK, here is a better one (hopefully)
What does KCALB think we should do if Bambo ever (God Forbid!) ever got lost in the mail somewhere?

File and affidavit! No just kidding. I've offered to send along one of Bambo's cousins he met up with here. Slightly smaller, but a better quailty in terms of outer coat. If he is called for duty, she is ready for shipping.

I've offered the same thing (there is a whole family of Bambo's relatives in a store about 5 blocks up from where I"m sitting right now; they look slighly different but they're pandas, too... IMO they look even better ;).
Would KCALB know how to get a hold of the logo, and/or be able to give tips on how to make the little sweater with YarisWolrd on it for cheap?
Sorry, I know my questions are lame today, but I hope KCALB in his great wisdom will forgive that

lol, the age old question. The week of November 1st is the ideal time, and the ideal place is anywhere food will be served along with the option to upgrade to a leaner piece of female observation and to go options

In a nut shell, think of it as an expensive "Debt" CD. But for full clarification....
The U.S. government knew that the costs of World War I would be great, and the question of how to pay for the war was matter of intense debate. The resulting decision was to pay for the war with a balance between higher taxes (see the War Tax Act) and government debt. Traditionally, the government borrowed from other countries, but there were no other countries from which to borrow in 1917: U.S. citizens would have to fully finance the war through both higher taxes and purchases of war bonds.[1]
The Treasury raised funding throughout the war by floating $21.5 billion in 'Liberty bonds.' These bonds were sold at subscription where officials created a coupon price and then sold it at Par value. At this price, subscriptions could be filled in as little as one day, but usually remained open for several weeks, depending on demand for the bond.[1]
After the war, the Liberty Bonds were reaching maturity, but the Treasury was unable to pay each down fully with only limited budget surpluses. The resolution to this problem was to refinance the debt with variable short and medium-term maturities. Again the Treasury issued debt through a fixed-price subscription, where both the coupon and the price of the debt were dictated by the treasury.[1]
The problems with debt issuance became apparent in the late-1920's. The system suffered from chronic oversubscription, where interest rates were so attractive that there were more purchasers of debt than supplied by the government. This indicated that the government was paying too much for debt. As government debt was undervalued, debt purchasers could buy from the government and immediately sell to another market participant at a higher price.[1]
In 1929, the U.S. Treasury shifted from the fixed-price subscription system to a system of auctioning where 'Treasury Bills' would be sold to the highest bidder. Securities were then issued on a pro rata system where securities would be allocated to the highest bidder until their demand was full. If more treasuries were supplied by the government, they would then be allocated to the next highest bidder. This system allowed the market to set the price rather than the government. On December 10, 1929, the Treasury issued its first auction. The result was the issuing of $224 million three-month bills. The highest bid was at 99.310 with the lowest bid accepted at 99.152.[1]
Foreign countries later started to buy U.S. debt as an investment of their surplus U.S. Dollars. Nowadays, China is the primary holder of U.S. bonds. China owns so many U.S. bonds, there is fear that if they stop buying them, the U.S. economy would collapse. The bonds issue further links the U.S. and China economies so tightly that both fear the consequences of a potential slow down in China's purchase of those bonds. In her visit to China, U.S. State Secretary Hillary Clinton called on authorities in Beijing to continue buying U.S. Treasuries, saying it would help jumpstart the flagging U.S. economy and stimulate imports of Chinese goods.[2]

Dear KCALB SIRAY,
I have a 8 month old pug puppy and we got him a 8 week old brother. All they want to do is kill each other. As they cost me $1200 each I'd really prefer they get along with each other than fight to the death. How am I going to solve this dilemma without selling a dog, getting rid of a dog or letting one of them rub the other one out?

One of the dogs has passed puppy pre school and a junior manners class. The other dog is booked in for puppy pre school and starts next wednesday....... if he lives that long :frown:
We have them seperated, the new pup is in a cage. But the second you let him out, that's when the fun begins.

Good question, Tony. First thing you need to do is bring them into a neutral setting. Get them both out of the house and into a park. Have them both on a leash but make sure your not controlling them both, have your wife handle the other. Its not so much a territory issue, but eliminating that area from them getting use to each other helps a bunch. Do this as often as you can so that they can create a playful bond that will carry back to the house and you should be ok.
Second suggestion would be after you have started the out of the house training. Get yourself a spray bottle from the dollar store that also has the stream option. Or if you have a squirt gun (very low power, no SuperSoaker) this will work as well. Fill it with water obviously, and when they start to engage with each other, give them both a squirt to break them up. The main thing we want to do here is introduce a non violent correction that the two puppies will associate with their behavior as being wrong. BUT, also realize they are puppies and be able to recognize the fighting from playing. if the bite each other, it's not always to hurt the other. Good luck and keep us posted.
Dear KCALB,
Where will the Bronco's end up in the post season this year?
My best educated guess, being a Steelers fan would be they end up with an overall Pct of .844. With a few questionable IR on the lower list, they should be able to pull up a better Pct by the end of the season.

Dear KCalb,
Why do vegans say that meat is murder, but often have no problem walking around in leather shoes?

Dear KCalb,
Why do vegans say that meat is murder, but often have no problem walking around in leather shoes?
I consulted with one of the Vegans in our office, plus a Veggie lover to get a few points of view rather than my own bacon loving self (and those of you who know me know I loooooove bacon).
The Vegan lifestyle is a very hard lifestyle to follow. To exclude every single animal product from ones diet, clothing and so on, would require money, time, and availability of the products needed. So, in short you take the good with the bad so to speak. Most of what I read online in Vegan forums is that anything you can do to help is helping. They do what they can and to the best of there resources and money.
So then comes the counter-question of, "why not eat a cow, a cow is natural?". This is true, but when is a cow unnatural? Do you see where I'm going here?
This was a very good question, and had fun doing the research. I myself am helping the Vegan and Veggie Lifestyle by eating all the cow I can. I figure if they run out, I'll be their hero :headbang:

You're not too far off the truth. Without pulling stats on teens and areas defining low income, race and location, we all know that without the proper control methods, this issue will never go away. I think redefining the term "Stupid" to be "Uninformed" would fit better for the sake of arguement on all sides.
Most would say that we all need a license to reproduce. It's not that bad of an idea, but you can't control someones ability to have intercourse with their partner. It's that whole legal issue of being God and using chains blah blah blah
So truth be told, yes it does seem like the "stupid" "uninformed" ones are the ones "doing it". We need more people raising the issue, fixing the problem starting with education on all levels and all ages. The education shouldn't stop at the level of school completion. It needs to extend into adult life revolving around jobs and the economy too.
Hope that helps
