I am almost at the point of buying my new speakers but someone mentioned to me that the Ohms must match up on the factory and new speakers. My dad tested the ohms on the factory ones and said its 4, however the new speakers I want are 2. CAn I still get the new speakers? Is there a way around this?

You can hook up the new speakers, provided you use an amplifier that can handle 2 ohm loads.
But without the amp... no, I wouldn't recommend it.

Well I emailed Crutchfield and they said it would be fine as long as I hook it up to a head unit. Well according to the website, none of the head units fit in the yaris, only with a modified fit. Also, Best buy said the same thing. So if no head units fit, how do I install one? Please help :(

1DIN and Double DIN headunits will all fit, you'll need a fitment kit, for all 1DIN stereos (Standard Height) you can use Metra kit 99-8216, for all Double DIN (Extended Height... not the GM/Chrysler fit) you can use Metra kit 95-8202

HAHA! I love how people in the business of selling head units and stereo equipment told you that no head unit would fit in the Yaris. Hilarious.
