At first I wanted to get it Black but they were not available for at least 45 days in Quebec and no dealer within 50 kms of my house had any. I had the choice between blue bayou and red. I'm glad I pick the blue bayou, the color has grown on me with time.

This is the color that I just got (or rather, WILL have next week!). I don't see TOO many of this color around Montreal...

Does anyone really know what the performance difference is between the CE and the RS models?

I got the CE with the C package (in Canada).

The only performance gain on the RS would be slightly improved handling from the lower profile 15" wheel/tire combo. As well the RS has sport seats which have better bolstering.

The rest is just for looks.

It seems to me that Bayou Blue metallic and Copper Orange Mica are the 2 colours that can change drastically - depending on the light conditions. Like on the bright day, the Bayou Blue M looks ~ sky/bright ocean blue. On the cloudy day, it looks completely different ~ like a dark milky blue.

I have the same colour yaris and it is a whole new car after I put my tint on. I put on 20% and it is plenty dark. Any darker and you are going to have a visiter or two just cause they want any excuse to get up close and personal to my YARAS

About your tint, isn't that an illegal tint for Quebec? I'm in Ontario & plan on getting some tint done. How is it at night (20%)?

Does anyone know the current law for Ontario? Is it 35% front or a vague "unobstructed view"?

My tints are front 50/35/20
The legal limit in quebec is 70 for the front windows, no limits whatsoever for the back. Cops generally tolerate 50% and even 35%, but it also depends of your driving and your ride. Kids with tricked out civic and loud exaust will get pulled at 50%. Had them since december, got pulled once for speed, the cop never ask about the tints!

Thanks guys. Yes, they are Konig Kolors (repainted in graphite) 17x7 +42mm, Kumho Ecsta MX 205/40/YR17. The cornering is unreal...and yes, I love the way it looks too.

The bayou blue definitely has a multiple-personality in terms of colours...I have seen it look *bright* blue in full sun and almost a grey-blue when it is overcast. I love this colour!!!!!! :bow: :wub:

I love Cara.

Test drove a VW Rabbit on Friday. I still like the peppiness of Cara over the greater HP of the Rabbit.

I enjoy my nimble ride, and love the Yaris centre mounted console! :smile: I was hard getting used to checking my RPMs and speeds behind the wheel... im so used to it being where it is in teh Yaris! :wink:

I paid for the mirrors! Also the indicator lights come this way with the car! Their flashing light is obviously orange.

No way I love the price for the tire $50. I swapped the originals to the new konigs! Gonna put snows on the stock steelies. I'm gonna lower the bitch though. Glad to see other Jdm tails on the Bayou!! I think the look real good on this colour. Was gonna get the silver MOd style, buit didn't want to cramp Violin/chino, lol

This is 35%. Darkest you can legally go in Kansas. I think that it could be darker, and looks darker in person, the pictures don't do it justice. If your local laws allow for it, I would try a bit darker, maybe. Just got it done and I will wait for the sun to set a bit and see if i can't snap a better picture.

They did a good job, except for one bubble, and of course it is smack dab in the middle of the passenger side window...doh! You can't tell from the outside and they said that it will take a week or so to cure and then it will look even better. No body else might not ever know, but every time I get int he car, my eyes will go right to that little bubble...all in all I am happy though.

I think that the black badge looks even better now. Thoughts???

If you could get a hold of the OEM Toyota RS tail lights, that would be even better!
Both the replica that MicroImage sells and OEM RS tails are not DOT approved as they do not have the red reflector in them.

Nope, the plate is totally mangled. Only part of my front end that's still original after a collision I had a few months back.

YAR1S: the cops in my area arent harsh at all w/ the tail lights. I think LED tail lights are slowly becoming an exception that do not require reflectors for some reason. I have seen some cars that come w/ stock LED tail lights that did not have a reflector at all....

I've had mine for more than 1 year and half now, and i pass by cops as well as have been ticketed for dark tints twice...and nothing has been said about my my OEM RS tails....

So... I just wanted to thank you all.

I was going to be picking up my 2009 3 door Yaris in Meteorite Metallic tomorrow evening. I just got a call from my husband- apparently the car was sold out from underneath me. I was crushed.

My next option was a Bayou Blue. I was torn. I had seen it at the dealer and although I thought it was a nice color- I wasn't sure.

So, I used Google Image to look at BB Yaris' while I made my decision to go with the BB or to look for another MM.

Your posts and photos made me fall in love with the BB so I called my husband just a few minutes ago and told him to go for it.

Thank you so much! Now I can't wait to pick up my baby!

I have something up my sleeve in Cali so why pay the extra money for a stock kit if it'll be on for 6-8 months?

The AFE intake actually had a decent effect to the A/T also. It did bump up the 87whp of the A/T to 93whp alone. I really didn't do any other power mods to the car due to the fact that I was just showing and also the fact that is was A/T.

As for the parts for sale, the only piece I have is the grille that Garm sells and Ray (Puetato) has had dibs on it when I saw him down in Florida.

Can't wait to get it today.

The dealership gave me a great deal on a manual. I went from 8.9% to 0%, 72 months to 60 months, 40,600K miles to 124 (was delivered driven from CT), and 36K mile warranty to a 72K mile warranty. They fully paid off my automatic liftback and I did go up in payments due to doing a 60 month. went from $272 to $288 a month which isn't bad for me at all. Was going to be cheaper, but I was over what they thought I had to save me on the payments (by 10K).

Put some of the stuff back on the car today. I had no idea that the shape of the headlights by the rear bumper had changed and the thickness. Doesn't look too bad for now till I get the kit.

Overall I do prefer the Zenki better but it doesn't matter when you're modifying.

Got my seat installed the other day. Took me around 6 hours to finish the adapter plate to get it to work with the Wedge bracket I bought from kustomplay. :redface:

I may have to get taller side Recaro brackets because the seat is looooooow. Maybe another inch or so would be perfect.

I'm leaving the Zenki Bayou Blue club. Just put the car back to stock and trading it in at the dealership since my new ride will arrive tomorrow. I should take some shots of it back to stock lol.

Yeah, it's a replica. And yeah, I'm looking to pick up the RS bumper. Shipping prices are killing me though, at least from Japanparts.com :cry:

I will have to see what I can do about a second, but this one was hard to find. Originally came out of a 2008 Grade U Vitz equipped with a CVT.

Sorta took a chance due to transmission type, but it is totally plug and play! Installation took me like 3 minutes, lol.

Oh yeah, no worries about that. All I needed to know was 100 kph ~ 60 mph and I'm golden. Obviously the trip/odometer is in kilometers which I need to get used to. But best part is button on the left is for the odometer and the right button is clock, waaaay more convenient than previously where it was reversed!

I'll do some digging on the cluster for you, and go back further to 2006 models to see if that helps the search.

Both. :laugh:

Taking it off after test fitting it caused a tear at the bottom of the bumper, and a piece started to break off on the sides where it snaps into the fender.

Canadian would have MPH under KPH.

Although I purchased this from a seller in Japan, I have my doubts as to the authenticity of it, as I'm in the process of bringing over a RS cluster for Kioshi from Japan and the speedo tops out at 180 kph on it, which is a common speed limit for vehicles in Japan. Mine goes to 200 kph though. :iono:
