Hey guys,

New member here. Well I received a phone call from the dealer today. I am now a proud owner of a Brand New 2007 Yaris 5 door hatch:thumbup: . Well at least on paper I am. The one I ordered is not in stock so now I am playing the waiting game. Supposedly it will take a month to two months to order from Japan. Does anyone know if this is true??? Anyways...I'll keep you guys posted and let you know when I finally receive my car. Hopefully it will be soon because I have absolutely no patience:tongue:

Hi Sov
I also had A dealer preference a 2007 Yaris 3 door hatch for me with pwr pkg, they told me 4 to 6 weeks. It's only been 3 days for me though. Anyone else preference A Yaris? How long did it take for you to receive your Yaris?

Everyone on here is stating that it is worth it????? Toyota is saying for me , third week of OCT.!!!!! I can not wait---------- F big oil ----Ill be at the pump with a big FU with a smile!!! I was over at a dealership in Toronto today and they had 3 RS in the lot (blue, silver, and a 2dr silver...all of them automatics).

I got my black 5dr LE liftback in a week, which was surprising cause I was expecting a 2 month wait.

i ordered my yaris late august...not expecting it til late november...only 59 days to go
i ordered the YRX model, manual, 5 doors and in black...very uncommon in toyota's eyes...there was only 3 manuals in australia late august and they were all the base model with 3 doors...absolutely ridiculous!
so i have to wait also...but its getting there...
the dealer calls me every fortnight to tell me where my car's at...she called me this week and said that they're still on schedule and it's still late november that i'll get my car...:frown: oh well...the wait will be worth it...i cant wait for this car!

Hi Mr. Monday night!,
I ordered from Prestige in Ramsey NJ...leased RAV4's from them in the past and always had troubles in the deal....I dont expect this to go smooth either!
Actually, if they promised me the car in the 3rd week of october they should atleast have a production # or even vin # by now. I have not requested that # because it would kill the fantasy that my order is actually being built! I'll just make believe, then when they dont have the car I'll demand my deposit back and post the hell out of them for misleading promises to a customer!! HEY..REMEMBER THEY ARE "AUTO SALESMAN" and you know the score with them!! I'm waiting 16 week for the car!!
Of course if they actually produce my car I will praise them up and down!!

I got my Medium Silver 5 Speed Yaris HB in 40 days from the time of my deposit. When I made the deposit, my car was on a ship from Japan to the port of Newark, NJ.
I love the car, and can tell you it is worth the wait! On my first tank of gas, I got 39.4mpg. Excellent car IMO.

I confirmed my order like two weeks ago...grrrr.... Oh and on top of all that I won't get it till January 2007. I honestly don't know if I have the patience to wait that long.

Sorry guys just had to vent a lil.

I just paid my deposit in Utah for a silver sedan with manual transmission and AM/FM radio. The dealer told me it will take 2-3 months to get my car. Acutally I have planed to drive my brand-new Yaris to have a long trip by Dec 14th (4000 miles)and the hotel has been booked. I know it takes high risk because it is possible that I cannot get my car. But I still want to wait, and pray. The dealer also mentioned that there is possiblity that I can get lucky to get the car sooner.

I really cannot wait!

Yeah Baby! I'm finally able to post, ahd some issued but, now ready to share some thougts!:headbang:

I 've been waiting for almost month and a half to get the "Premium Version" offered in Mexico, Barcelona Red, 15' aluminim wheels, which is much pretty like the " S" version, but without the spoilers. The salesguy told me that I had to wait 2 months at the most to get this version and color. He used to call me to offer other colors, but it was worth the wait to get this awesome color, I'm picking it up 10/14!:headbang: :w00t:

I'm picking up my New Meteorite Metallic Yaris Liftback with power pkg and Abs brakes on Saturday. It was a long journey, but well worth the wait. I had preferenced the Liftback Yaris from 2 dealerships in my area NJ and was waiting 3+weeks, but my dealerships told me they were unable to get a power package liftback allocated to their dealership, so they were going to have to trade with another dealership that is out of the region. I then did a search and found 4 Liftback Yaris's with the options I wanted out of state. I told my local dealerships this and they said that the other dealerships do not want to trade their Yaris's to them. So I took the matter into my own hands and drove 3 hours on Monday to Maryland and purchased the Yaris. I then returned back to my local dealerships and got back my deposit. My advice to those of you that are waiting, try doing a search every other day if you have the time in your neighboring states and you might get lucky like me and find your car. I can't wait to do Mods, Car already has the rear spolier on it. I wanna put in Oem style FOGS(Can't find OEM no part number),Cruise Control,Mud guards, alloy wheels(I want the 5 spoke alloys that they have in the brochere, but I can't seem to find them anywhere. Anyway thanks everybody for your help GO YARIS.

:frown: Since I wrote the above, I spent 9 days in Canada and when I got back I had a message on my machine from the dealer stating that my car was being built and I'd have it either the last week of October or the first week of November. At least now I know that I'll have the car I want with the color and bells and whistles in the power package. The waiting is starting to get to me though. Glad for all those who've gotten theirs though

skc: If you get your car before I get mine, I'm not gonna be pleased...haha You ordered the same car as me. Did you get A/C?? apparently ppl who usually order 5 spd don't get a/c, that is why most dealerships don't have it instock. Well at least that's what the dealership told me.

Well guys here's an update...I got an email from the dealer the other day and they supposedly found one that is in production(in Japan) so I should be expecting it between Nov. 15-Dec. 15. We'll see *fingers crossed*

I researched the Yaris Liftback probably 6+ months before making a purchase, I spoke with about 5 different dealers about it and was never able to find one in stock, It was always the sedans on the lot...Finally I moved to a different state and went down to the local dealership to see what could be done, They took in all of my options and checked on availability.. Well it just so happened that there was exactly what I wanted already scheduled to arrive in a few months, the only problem was that it had one extra option that I did not want to pay for so the dealer split the cost of the package with me and took my deposit for the car that was due in about 90 days, The dealer told me that when a person orders a custom package from toyota and if it is not something that is totaly outragous, Then they just wait until the factory just happens to build what they wanted and that is the car that gets sent to the customer...Well that sounded totally nuts to me, especially due to the fact that I was raised in a big three city and if you wanted a custom car ordered then that is what you got, The factory build the car just for you! I decided to check out these facts with some other local toyota dealer and sure enough they all said this is true! So when you order a car from toyota you are just reserving the one that gets built to your specifications, and they are not building it just for you. This is why they will never be able to exactly tell you when it will be coming from Japan. It is always a waiting game from Toyota, But worth it!!!

What type of "search" did you do in order to find out what cars the dealers had in stock? Is there a website that I can go to or do I have call all the dealers in my area? Thanks in advance.

Go to Toyota.com click on locate a dealer, go advanced search, in advanced search I chose the dealers in my neighboring states.Example PA,MD VA. But you can choose the dealers by zip or in your home state. I had to chose dealers out of state, because Toyota doesn't built the Yaris LB with the options I wanted there. It will then list all the dealers in the state you are searching, and you can check there local inventory through there websites and keep doing that until you find the Yaris you want. Good luck, if I didn't get my Yaris this way I would still be waiting.

My 07 Yaris S silver mica sedan is nearly a year old now with 15,000 miles. I purchased it off the lot last year, late in April and it was one of the first Yaris out in the area (literally called when it was being off loaded...timing/luck is everything.) It had everything I wanted (power package, ABS, alloys, manual) except side airbags. I also owned an Echo, which I recently sold. The Yaris is much quieter and feels more solid. I've been getting a combined 41 mpg. I don't see many in the Central Valley of California. When I do, drivers usually flash their lights or wave, which reminds me of my British car days of the 70's!
