Australia have 3 different versions of the car...each with something different.

The standard features in all cars is: power windows and mirrors, aircon, cd player, abs, immobiliser and keyless entry.

The base model is only a 1.3L with nothing special just standard features, with 14" steel wheels.

Middle range is a 1.5L with the standard features including 15" steel wheels, leather bound steering wheel with audio controls and leather gear shift lever.

The top of the range model gets the sports body kit, front fog lamps, 15" alloy wheels, 6 disc changer, more pockets to hide stuff in and a different seat trim.

Although, fog lamps can be an option for the other models, you just gotta pay more for them, and it'll be a 'special' order - so no doubt, some wait time will apply . . .

My car (please see left) has standard fog lamps on it (front only). I tend to regard them as a form of safety enhancement. They will be useful when situations demand the use of them. I recommend that you get them. However, just like in the case of the high beam, drivers of the cars coming in the opposition direction may find them distracting. So, they need to be used with care and only when necessary:smile:.

I was told Toyota has no part number for it, And it has to be factory installed.

And that's why you only use them when necessary like swng said.

Yeap, only when there's fog...

BTW. I hate when people drive with high beams and don't change to low when someone is driving their direction!!!

This is what you want to do: (it will be better if you have HID's)
1. Stop the car and drive aside of the road
2. wait for the car to pass you by
3. Turn on your high beams, fog lamps and any beams you might have on the car
4. smile!

it's impossible it has no part number for the fogs. if it comes from factory, it has to have a part number. because its got to get the pieces somewhere if you break it.

All I want to buy is the shroud that goes around them so I can buy some PIAA or Hella driving lights to go there.

All I recall seeing was a chrome piece that goes over the factory piece.

On the hatchback, where is the switch to turn the fogs on? Is it part of the stalk or is it on the center console?

Fog light switch is part of the headlight stalk, a little further along the stalk near the middle.

Those non-hella fog lights sold by ebay are they any good?
