I'm out of state but my dad just bought this 2008 Yaris for me today! One owner, 36,000 miles, almost brand new in every way! Power windows/locks, tinted windows. I haven't driven it yet but I'm already in love : ) I get to pick it up in less than two weeks!

I bought my 2007 in 2008, with about 32k on it! the previous owner traveled a lot for his job but he took real good care of it!

It's not unusual for people to commute in Southern California, so I'm not too concerned about the mileage. We got it inspected, so I feel good about the purchase. I live in Oklahoma and I am a little worried about the tint, but oh well!

i remember when i got mine... i didnt fart in it for 2 weeks, didnt go over 50 for a month and hated seeing the miles roll on the odometer.. (first brand new car ever)

Why would a Yaris need a warranty?

I think I'd be fine buying a NEW Yaris with no warranty. They are that reliable.

How is 36,000 high? That's not much more than average.

My '07 is at 57,000. And do you know about the member "Triniper4mance's" '07 with over 340,000 miles.

Wow at 340K now? Last I knew it was nothing but routine maintenance except for an alternator, IIRC.

So I picked it up finally! Had it for just over 2 weeks, already put over 2000 miles on it. My first big trip was from So Cal to New Mexico (1000 miles in one day.) Since then I've been doing lots of mountain driving, usually with three big guys plus me and all of their hiking gear in the back. My best mileage so far is 43mpg, with my worst at 33mpg. I am in love with this car!

You're not the only one! I learned on a '87 Wrangler a few years back, but hadn't touched a stickshift in like 3 years. So far I'm not doing too bad with mine (bout a week and a half now).

Be patient with the Yaris. I've been driving manual transmissions most of my life and I think the MT on the Yaris is far less intuitive than most other cars. So patience is key with our car. But you'll get it, we all do :smile:
