Toyota Motor Sales, USA is excited to announce pricing for the all-new 2007MY Yaris Sedan and Yaris Liftback. Pricing will be made available to the public in conjunction with the Yaris debut at the 2006 Greater Los Angeles Auto Show on January 4th, 2006.

As Toyota’s most affordable passenger car, the Yaris will feature contemporary exterior styling and an upscale interior. It will be one of the most economic and youthful passenger cars Toyota has ever offered in the subcompact category. With surprising design, astonishing value, Toyota quality, and good handling and maneuverability, the Yaris will be a smart choice.

In keeping with our heritage of offering outstanding value along with legendary Toyota quality and reliability, Yaris pricing will start at:

Model # Vehicle Transmission MSRP
1421 Liftback M/T $10,950
1422 Liftback A/T $11,850
1441 Sedan M/T $11,825
1442 Sedan A/T $12,550
1451 Sedan S grade M/T $13,325
1452 Sedan S grade A/T $14,050

By mixing an affordable price with a fun and upscale image the Yaris will be separated from the competition and become the car of choice for practical and intelligent consumers. The debut of the unique Yaris Sedan, the sporty, stylish Sedan S grade, and the distinctive easy-to-drive Liftback will make a big splash into the Entry Subcompact segment.

2007MY Yaris Standard Equipment Highlights
The all-new Yaris Sedan and Liftback offer outstanding value with a high level of standard equipment unmatched by the competition. The standard equipment includes:

Air conditioning
Advanced driver and front passenger airbags
Electronic power steering with tilt steering wheel
Color-keyed mirrors, bumpers, and door handles
Driver and front passenger vanity mirrors
Extensive storage compartments including front and rear cup holders, front side pockets, a driver under tray, a console box, and map pockets
P175/65 R14 tires on steel wheels with full wheel covers

The Yaris S is designed to appeal to buyers looking for a four-door with sportier styling. The S grade will offer all of the standard equipment listed above, plus an impressive array of additional standard equipment including:

Front and rear under bumper spoilers
Side rocker panels
Unique S badge
AM/FM/CD with MP3 capability and a mini-jack port
60/40 split fold down rear seat with fold-down center armrest and cup holder
P185/60 R15 tires on steel wheels with full wheel covers
Rear defroster

Powering all Yaris models will be a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine with Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (VVT-i) that will have impressive fuel economy. Mated to either a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission with gated shifter, the engine will produce 106 horsepower and 103 ft.-lb. of torque. EPA fuel efficiency ratings for Yaris will lead key competitors at a very impressive 34 miles per gallon in the city and 40 miles per gallon on the highway.

The Yaris Competitive Advantage
The Yaris Sedan, S Sedan, and Liftback all offer outstanding pricing and value versus key competitors. The Yaris Liftback with the Power Package versus a similarly equipped Aveo LT Hatchback has a $925 MSRP advantage. The Yaris Sedan versus the 06MY Kia Rio LX Sedan has a $745 MSRP advantage. And we have more comfort and convenience features!

The base grade Ford Focus ZX3 Hatchback with manual transmission has an MSRP of $13,450 without air conditioning. Our Yaris Liftback with manual transmission is exceptionally priced at $10,950 with standard air conditioning. The difference is an amazing $2,500 competitive advantage!

Hyundai Accent GLS MSRP is $13,305 for their base car, while our Yaris Sedan customers will enjoy an MSRP of only $12,550. And the Hyundai Accent does not have standard air conditioning!

With Toyota’s reputation for high quality and reliability the competitive advantage is clear.

2007MY Yaris Optional Equipment Highlights
Enhancing the overall Yaris driving appeal, impressive value-added optional equipment packages are available. Yaris options include a Convenience package that adds a AM/FM/CD with MP3 capability with audio mini-jack, a rear window defogger, 15-inch steel wheels with full wheel covers, 60/40 split fold down rear seat with fold-down center armrest and cup holder (Sedan only) and a rear wiper (Liftback only). This package is “conveniently” standard on the Sedan S grade.

With the Yaris Power package, drivers and passengers will enjoy power locks, windows and mirrors plus all the equipment in the convenience package. For the Sedan, it also includes a tachometer, upgraded trim with integrated audio, cruise control, and ABS. For the Liftback, it adds a 60/40-split rear seat that slides, reclines and folds completely flat.

Vehicle Transmission MSRP*
Liftback Convenience Package M/T & A/T $ 630
Liftback Power Package** M/T & A/T $ 1,290
Sedan Convenience Package M/T & A/T $ 750
Sedan or Sedan S Power Package** M/T $ 1,710
Sedan or Sedan S Power Package** A/T $ 1,785
*Dealer margins for the above packages will be 10%
**Power package price above includes required 15” steel wheel upgrade (Accessory SV)

In addition to the packages listed above, the Yaris will also offer optional seat-mounted side and front and rear side curtain airbags, anti-lock brakes, 15” alloy wheels, rear spoiler, fog lamps, and keyless entry.

I know this has been brought up. But there seems to be no radio with the standard features. Or is that so standard they don't have to include it.

why?
01-31-2006, 07:59 PM
There are 3 radio options. 1 of them is 4 speakers without a radio. 1 of them is a standard CD player. The 3rd is the cd/mp3 player.

Is the radio a standard or optional equipment. I'm planning on getting sirius or XM satellite radio system anyway.

The radio/cd player is what is standard. The 4 speakers with no radio seems to be a no cost option type of thing.
Check this thread for specifics.

so with the MP3 audio mini-jack, once the iPod is plugged in are you still navigating on the iPod or with the radio? Not that it makes a huge difference, plugging in will sound a whole lot better than an FM transmitter...

Once you plug an iPod into the Aux Jack ...........You must still use the iPod to navigate...........The Aux Jack just lets you utilize the car speaker system......

Yes a few automakers are starting to add it, BMW being the first, and it is available in a honda model or 2.

It is also available in some aftermarket radios, but that can obviously get very expensive.

The base price for the hatchback manual is 10,950 and the auto is 11,850.
Add the convience package which is 630.00 and the power package which is 1,290.00 you have how much a loaded hatchback will cost. I guess you have to have the convience package to get the power package so you have to add the two together.

Plus the destination charge. Which is 540.00 here in montana.(which is nothing but a kick back of money to someone).

So hatchback with manual fully loaded would be 13,410.00 u.s. dollars

And the hatchback with auto fully loaded would be 14,310.00 u.s. dollars

why?
02-09-2006, 05:04 PM
You alse need to add the destination charge as well, which is usually around $500.

Ok, Toyota calls it a process and handling fee, and it is $580.

So, it would go like this: $10950+580/ dest. charge. $1290 for Power Package...Does this include the Convenience Package? Or, that is an extra $630? If that is the case...this little car become quite expensive. 10950+580+1290+630+300 (ABS)+630 (Side Airbags)=14380 for a fully loaded Yaris Liftback. That is Honda Civic territory. I just hope there will be wiggle room for the pricing. I am curious to see if you'd be able to get this car at invoice after a few months.

A valid point here i.e. if the Yaris is priced just a little bit higher than it should be, it will venture into the Civic's territory. It is tightrope walking.

But wait a minute..... you are talking about a hybrid car that gets up to 40 mpg.... they are asking twice that for a Prius and it only gets 20 more mpg... and it has been the biggest selling vehicle in Europe for four years.... if it gets anywhere Near that in the States- invoice is a long way off unless someone's not doing their job....

Yeah, mine came out to $12,238 with the convenience package (that includes delivery). Looks like every Yaris in the states right now has the Convenience Package at the bare minimum.

It's still up in the air whether the C Package has the 60/40 split rear seats. It was supposed to be part of the Power Package.

Thanks, Yep, I was just wondering what the time lines around the country were for people to get there yaris liftbacks with the manuals. Sounds promising anyway. MY dealership said probably sometime in April. I want to go on a trip. So I'm eagerly waiting for my yaris to show up.

I haven't gotten my yaris yet. A week or two hopefully. But I will probably have to pay msrp. I'll try and get a free something out of it. But considering I'm getting a new very nice car for around 12,000 i'm pretty happy. All I care about really is the 40 miles to the gallon. Gas will very probably be over 3 dollars soon in the usa and maybe much more in the years ahead. I need a good gas milage car desperately.

I got a discount but (1) I'm Canadian and (2) they screwed up, so they had to do something for me.

I ordered my Yaris in mid-Feb, when the only model you could get was the 2007 (with 2007 pricing), but Toyota only had out the interest rates for the 2006, at 6.2% for the kind of lease I got. I was told this rate would be locked in, I signed papers, etc. Then they called me up last Friday and told me Toyota Canada Corporate wasn't giving anyone the 6.2% for the 2007s, and my rate would have to be the same as everyone elses': 8.3%. I was not happy about this as I'm picking my car up this Friday. The sales guy claimed to be unhappy with this, blaming the financial people for the screw up.

They ended up taking $670 off the MSRP, though I suspect I could have got more off if I had complained some more. I guess I was just a bit shocked at the time. This ended up making my monthly payments halfway between what they originally were and what they went up to with the 8.3% interest.

Even with the money off, this was still more than I wanted to pay using credit (I'm a professional student, I swear I'm gonna pay it off someday!). I found out that if I put a larger security deposity down (10x normal), they'd give me the 6.2% interest rate on my loan again. And I still got to keep the $670 off MSRP. Good thing I get a Yaris out of all this hassle!

So, $670 here, but it's all Toyota's fault

So is it true that us in the USA can't get a base liftback? The dealer near me says they are all coming with at least the convience package. Why advertise the $10950 if I can't even purchase for that much? Kinda sucks.

why?
05-02-2006, 06:59 PM
From what we've been seeing every Yaris in the USA at this point does come with the convenience (CQ) package.

I am sure that eventually there will be a few base models around somewhere.

I don't see how anyone could ACTUALLY pay MSRP on anything but a limited edition car!!? If you couldn't get a better price it's either because you don't understand the idea of negotiation or just don't search around. When i first walked in to buy mine, they swore up and down that they couldn't sell below MSRP, but after test driving one and then starting to walk out the door saying "well, now that i know what I want I'll just call around and get a better price somewhere else", they were willing to listen to my offer :P

some of you guys are suckers, no offense :P falling for a sleeze-ball car salesman's lines about "these cars are hard to find" and "the only way you can get one is to put a deposit down"...haha.

The best way to buy a car is to go out and DRIVE EVERY POSSIBILITY, then when you know EXACTLY what you want (with options and what you will "settle for") you call around to atleast 50 dealerships within 300 miles and ask for their Internet Sales Manager. Sometimes dealership websites will offer COUPONS that must be presented for a "discount". After you have the best price, you can take that price back to your local dealership and ask them to meet/beat it..and remind them that they will be doing the Service work, regardless if they sell the car to you or now.
Again, if you fall for the scams of a scuzzy car salesman, I can't take your opinion seriously since you don't take the time to form your own INFORMED decisions..

I sincerely doubt any of the early adopters here are going to receive any discounts. Reportedly the markup on the Yarii is really really small.

haha, who'd you hear this from, the Saleperson who sold you your Yaris?! and you believed him?! classic!! It's funny, car salesman are trained to pressure sale and take advantage of other's ignorance..not a single one i've met yet has known a DARN thing about the cars they sell. hell, the Toyota salesperson that sold me mine didn't know that it had electric power steering, electric radiator fan, Electronic throttle control..WHICH ARE ALL LISTED AS THE TOP features in the BROCHURE HE WAS SHOWING ME!!! pathetic..you don't have to know your product to sell to a sucker. Stealerships have figured this out and taught all their salepeople how to COERCE a deposit by acting like "if you don't act now and give me a deposit for a car that i don't even have, you will lose it"... THAT's SAD, but not as sad as someone believing them...

Long winded response showing a lack of experience....9 Toyota's new in 15 years and I paid close to MSRP for the first time. I also paid $17,000 less than for my last Tundra which was $300 over invoice. There are NO liftbacks on the ground here and 2 dealerships are consistently getting OVER MSRP. Like it or not supply hasn't reached demand. BTW I will save over $2300 in gas in my first year.

Just spoke with the local dealership about obtaining an '07 Yaris 3DR. He has none, and for a Polar White 3DR Manual, it will be about 2 months before I see it. He did mention however, that all Yaris' for the US are built with the convienience package, so good luck finding one with out. Personally, I feel that they are probably making that as profit on the car, since all cars are being produced with that package. Suprisingly, he wasn't trying to sell that hard (probably could tell that I am flat broke lol). So for a base model + convienience pakcage + destination + plus tax, tags came to 13,660.42. Not too bad, considering the Honda Fit MSRP is 13,250 excluding all the extra charges. I will most likely be putting my deposit down in a couple weeks and have it ordered. My first brand new car, so I'll wait for the color I want.

TRD Yaris, more than just limited edition cars. Cars in high demand will get MSRP or HIGHER. Can you say PRIUS. When the PRIUS first came out dealers were getting $3000 premium.

The YARIS is a low price car w/o much markup. You are not going to get a MSRP of $17,010 on the sedan with extras and have Toyota take $8000 off.

Also new cars like the Yaris are in demand for one thing, MPG, and another is is a NEW car.

If the person enjoys the car and what they paid for it, then that is great. Both parties are happy. Leave it at that.

To bad your critical thinking skills don't match your mechanical genius! THERE ARE NO LB's IN SOME CITIES. THERE ARE DIFFERENCES IN OPTION PACKS BETWEEN REGIONS! California vehicles, for example do not have cold weather pack options! 14 dealers in AZ region AND NO FUCKING ALLOCATIONS FOR LB's. Lots of under MSRP deals on SEDANS as they are apparntly not selling as fast as LB's could IMO. BTW O% INTEREST ON A DIRECT PURCHASE. :drinking:

Obviously I'm not expert but I can give some insight. These cars have a low mark up to start with and with it being in demand it will be hard to bargin. It really depends on the dealer and your situation. I believe if its on its way and all the papers are signed and secure I have a feeling its locked in but again I really don't know the situation and maybe someone who has done this can info ya, but hope that helps some what? I bought a 2007 Yaris 4 door automatic silver sedan with a few miles on the ODOMETER, brand new from dealer show room with floor mats for $13,700 out the door (tax, tag, title, the works). The sale price before tax, tag and title was $12,800 (well below MSRP sticker of $13,497). Doc fees were $400, but I DID NOT PAY IT. Plus, I live in the SE states, so I paid INVOICE for a 4 door sedan. Beat that!

we got ours on a dealer trade, so it was driven down from another dealer...it was delayed so our saleswoman bought us dinner at the olive garden (no alcohol, geesh!) - considering most people pay MSRP, i'd say dinner was a good deal! oh and this chain of dealers gives other incentives...free oil changes for life (of course you have to get their 15K, 30K, 45K etc. maintenance...i figure i'll get the 15K one, then be done with it at the 30K interval - $160 for one service and 8 oil changes sounds alright to me!). 5 cents off permanently at superamerica via a card - so you can use it for all your vehicles. $250 off your next vehicle if you buy within the chain of dealers, $250 off for a referred customer, plus you'll get $50 for referring them. not too bad all around!

Yeah not only that but the power package the liftback had with abs brakes no longer exists.

When will western washington dealers put on a sale to start getting ready for the 2008s?

Have Yaris sales in the US been worse than Toyota expected?

Any comments on ConsumerReports concerns:

sloppy emergency handling?
noise?
compromised driving position.?

AT drivers: does the staggered shift feel natural after driving for some time?

Anyone out there in the Pacific Northwest USA or British Columbia able to get a really base model without the All-Weather Package?

What's the worst selling exterior color?

I want a LB w/AT and need lots of ammo for bargaining, the prices I'm being quoted seem rather sticky, Thanks

The 08s probably won't come out till September. Actually I think Yaris sales are up and they were especially popular last year as we were having the gas shock, but it still is cause of gas prices, and their cool cars to boot. Just guessing, I think you might have to order if you want base. Most cars I know for us (Minnesota) come automactically with the all weather package and convience package, otherwise order your car. I don't know if you can get it without all weather package, but I'm sure there are some exceptions. I don't know your situation but remember they are not making much off the car, a very thin profit margin so bargaining is going to be tough, but it still can be done I'm sure. Good luck!!

We got $800 off on our cars without even trying. DON'T GET TRD PARTS unless you need the TRD warranty! They are WAYYYY overpriced. We got wheels and tires for 1/3 of the TRD price that are lighter and better looking. Spring can be found for $150 a set, and real shocks for a few hundred.

I bought the spoiler and foglights online and saved about $120 as well... =)

I'm getting close to pulling the trigger on a Bayou Blue Liftback with automatic transmission and the cold-weather (CK) package for $12,763 total.

It would be about $12,900 but I think we can get them to not put in floormats and the bumper protector, which saves $130 or so.

Does that sound reasonable?

Is the model you are looking at on the lot and already equipped with the mats and protector? If so, just say you don't want them--I did, the dealer discounted price and give them to me anyway, told me they had no use for extra factory parts lying around...

No, the one I'm thinking of buying is currently on a boat approaching the Oregon Coast, and if I don't want the extras, they simply won't install them at the Port.

I think I checked with Kendall Toyota the other day; they weren't able to go any lower than anyplace else (i.e., $300 over invoice/$300 under MSRP). And all things being equal -- which they seem to be -- I'd rather go with someplace here in PDX.

And I'm sorry, but I just can't in good conscience buy a car from someone who chooses to have these pictures be the face he presents to the world (via a Google search):

I live in Florida now and I'm surprised people have to pay dealer fees here of $400-600! It's pure profit, and it is BS! In California, where I used to live, dealer fees are illegal! Dealers can only charge a $45 doc fee. I bought my 07 Yaris HB, auto, power package for $300 under invoice there and drove it back to Florida. Screw the dealer fees here in the SE region! I had a nice vacation and a great road trip.

well the MSRP was $12,340 without tax tag or title. with tax included it comes to around 13000. and im not sure how much tag and title are (assuming around 3-400 dollars) but this price $13101 includes everything.

i tried Florida but its just too inconvenient because i have to get the tag and pay taxes on it here in georgia.

I think everyone should drive to another State with no dealer fees to buy their cars. Make a vacation of it; fly there, have the Toyota dealer pick you up at the airport, drive around in your new car, and enjoy the roadtrip back home. And, and at the same time send S.E. car dealers a message: FU!

then you have to worry about paying for your tag and tax because you bought out of state. but yea dealership fees suck

Just bought my Yaris on 7/10. I could have probably saved a couple hundred bucks more, if I pushed, but I was extremely happy with the car so far.

2007 Automatic Sedan Base Model
Silver
Convenience Package
Floor Mats
MSRP $14,270
Cost: $13,556 + 7.75% tax, tags and doc fee
no additional "dealer" fees or B.S.
Put down $4500, paying $252/48 months at 6%

I am a new member of the Yaris Forum - just bought my new Yaris today! It is a 5-sp liftback, Bayou Blue, Weather, Convenience packages, carpet option and several dealer installed options including 15" alloy wheels, doorsill protectors, mud guards, and chrome exhaust tip. All in all, a pretty mild looking package, all for $12,499. I think I got a real good deal. I wanted the Power Package but it was not available within 250 mile radius. My son owns a Scion Xb and I like driving it a lot - the same powertrain as the Yaris. All in all I'm very pleased so far (with 0 miles to date!). I am enjoying monitoring the forum.

Will we see dealers lowering their prices for the 2007-models anytime soon? Wont it be harder to get them off the lot as soon as 2008 models start arriving large scale?

I'm going to have to buy a new car (and if I can get the freekin' financing in place, it will be a Yaris!) within anytime from 2 weeks to 2 months, would it be better to wait longer?

Alright guys,

I went to the dealer today, he had a black Yaris with automatic transmission and power package selling for way more than $14,000 (didn't get exact price). I wanted a manual, so he said that MTs were almost impossible to obtain on the west coast area, some manufacturer problem. He searched for manuals with power package (which is what I want), and found one in Arizona. It cost about $13,574 I think, which is an acceptable price to me, but he wanted $500 EXTRA to transport it from Arizona.

My understanding is that in the regular posted MSRP, delivery fee of around $700 is already included. So if my dealer wants an extra $500 for taking a Yaris up from the neighbor state, I'll be paying like almost $1200 just for the Yaris to be transported around. That's like so insanely many times more than what bulk transportation actually cost.

What price should I be expecting/hoping for, for a HB MT PW?

I am looking for a Toyota Yaris Red LB automatic with power package, convenience and weather package including ABS, Keyless Entry. MSRP is 15,290. I tried for $1,500 below MSRP. A dealer offers $13,990. Is it a good deal???
