Really? My insurance actually dropped like $130 (6-month policy) with the new car... (as opposed to the 06 lancer with nearing 50k miles on it)

id be taking over her payments. her and her hubby hadnt finished paying it off yet. and my insurence would go up because i do have 12/12 points on my record, lol. i had an accident and a few tix sooooo. but the main reason the insurence told me was the new car deal with full coverage, lol.

I would be leary of takiing over someone else's loan. Why don't you go to the bank and take out your own loan to buy the car, maybe you can go for a few extra months to lower the payments.

Lack of options makes it so cheap.

I have the 2008 version of the same car and certainly recommend it.

Look for a local credit union that you can join for a $50 savings deposit. You should be able to get a credit union loan that is a much lower payment than what they have. The value should be higher than that price and you shouldn't have a problem getting the credit union to issue a check to pay off their loan. (if you ask nicely)

It may be that they were trying to pay it down quickly with a 3 year loan or may have had a high rate.
For example : $300 down, $7K loan, 4 yr @5.5% = $163/mo
If you look hard enough you might find a 4% loan...

but the main reason the insurence told me was the new car deal with full coverage, lol. If the car has 47k miles on it its nowhere near being a new car anymore.
Those figures just dont sound right
$7500 for 47k Yaris
Payments plus insurance $500 a month?
I'd keep looking.

the reason im saying that was because my tickets are maxed out. so id pay 139 full coverage a month and the 330 was what she was paying a month. and she wanted me to take over the payments. if i was to refianance then id not pay that much but imma have to wait till i get back from Oki to get a couple yaris'
