I don't know, mine was already on the lot. :iono:
Did you just order a Yaris 2010?
Welcome to the forum, btw!

I have not ordered a Yaris, but have ordered a Jeep Wrangler. It took two months for it to arrive at the dealership.

I didn't... just curious

I drive an '06 xA... sometimes the thought of a new car though is appealing.

it depends. if the car needs to be built, could be 1-2 months
mine was on a lot in Japan, and took 1 month to arrive.

that is FAST... because my dealer is one of the two very top USA
toyota dealers and gets preference over anyone else when it comes to new orders.

My dealer is the shiznat, all other toyota dealers bow down to him (really)

if you are using a 'regular dealer' it can take a bit longer to find the exact car u want

I ordered my 08 and it took 28 days to arrive. Remember that they are not actually "building" the car just for you. Your dealer puts in a preference order with the distributor. Whenever the distributor receives a Yaris matching the one you want they will send it to your dealer. The more specific you are, the longer it will take. Exactly what did you order?

Your dealer "orders" from your local private distributor, not from Toyota themselves. So your dealer "might" have preference over other dealers that are in your distributors region, but not for the whole USA.

well however it happens, my dealership rules when it comes down
to...who gets the inventory first ? they do. always. they sell
so many cars, and most of them are return buyers, long term customers.

my car was requested by me, there weren't any in the inventory,
so it was selected, and stuck on a boat [that happened to be ready for another
load of toyotas....] for the slow trip to Jersey
where it was put on a transporter and sent to the dealer lot.

sorry, but 4 other dealers I went to (while price shopping) all said they would have to ferry my request from anther dealer. I went to my favorite dealer
and they said well gee whiz we get them first anyhow, and never, ever do dealer swaps, because we get them before anyone else.

so sorry to bust yer bubble but I think 8 times president award and #1 sales leader gets some type of priority. or I am being lied to.

my dealership has a second floor cafeteria with menus, and a gym if you wanna work out while your car is worked on..., and wireless laptops you can grab and roam around...you don't need your own... a mezzanine, big screen TV's , endless free Starbucks....

things are different

I imagine your dealership must make a lot of money to be able to afford all those extras.
I never heard of one with a built-in gym before. Almost sounds like a mini-mall

So the only way to get a car in from another dealer is by ferry. So that means you went to 4 different islands to shop for a Yaris? Damn, thats dedication! I think a smart person would have gone to the inland dealer first. :eyebulge: Did you have to SCUBA dive to get to the dealers?

ps...How long did it take for your ordered Yaris to come in?

Just trying to get some clarification on your post. You said your "favorite" dealer was #1 in your area but you went to 4 other dealers before going to your "favorite"? So you must have been talking about your 5th favorite, right?

ps... you still didn't answer the question....How long did it take for your Yaris to come in after you placed your order at your "favortie" dealer?

They might be able to sell low due to volume, however, the service end of the dealership is where they really make their money.

the info is on this board... how about trying the SEARCH feature ? you can figure it out, can't you ?

don't tell me you know everything, but can't figure this out from the breadcrumbs around the internet
and this forum. Search for username 127.0.0.1... you will get a lot of results.

Still avoiding the question I see. Wow you finally broke the 100 post barrier! Congrats! Wow, some many results!

ps...I already knew the answer to the question. I was just trying to get you to post it again. You said it took your dealer 1 month. It took my dealer 28 days. So I guess that makes my dealer better than yours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
