Hey guys, I spent the last month cruising the forums, and just laid ink down on an 07 yaris sedan. Base model, 5speed, flint mica on black interior:thumbsup:
From What I have read, these cars are obviously killer on gas, and are VERY reliable! These were major factors that sold me.....then I found this site. These cars can look very clean, low on the factory s lips and maybe a very low offset wheel. I also own a 2000 Honda accord, and a built and boosted 95 Jetta puttin down 325 to the wheels, laid out on built bbs rm's with bfi 3 inch lips;)

I bought the yaris as a nice reliable daily.....but it may not stay stock long!
Car has 47k on it, and I paid $9.3 for it. S lips, coilovers, wheels and roof spoiler to come soon:)
well nice to meet everyone, and I must say I am pleased to see lots of activity on this site! I am a very proefficiant backyard mechanic, as I have built at least 10 high horsepower hondas and vw's. I know alot about suspension and wheel fitment. Hopefully I can contribute as much as I intend to get out of this site!

Thanks man. There are a couple sick cars in here. I can imagine that these cars don't hold boost too well though

That is alot of work for 300hp, but definetly badass to see he did it! I doubt I would
ever boost this motor, all I plan on doing is aesthetic mods. I actually already checked that site out, and definetly plan on getting the engine cover, and the fogs through garm. What is a good site to find a lip kit?

Same place. PM Garm to see what kits he has in stock for the sedan, and if you find something he doesn't have, let him know and he can get it. Welcome to yw, btw.

oh, you can also throw on a S/C if you want some mild boost.

Thanks man, obviously Garm is the dude to talk to, lol.
Yeah, I knew TRD had a s/c for it at one time, but I dint see it on the website anymore?

Thanks for the welcome guys, I will post pics tomorrow, as I am waiting on delivery! The more pics I see, the more I want to mod it. It's funny, this was supposed to be the first car I bought to not mod, hehe.

Even at those numbers, would the stock bottom end hold up?

The Yaris loves wide wheels.... :)

hmmm I'm not sure... but garm says the more than 310 is possible with his setup, so I figured 2/3 of that might be safe...

the crank will handle the power.

what WON'T hold up are the rods.

Ouch, yeah, that is definetly a pain in the ass. I have had several boosted hondas, an a few boosted vw's with stock bottom ends and no issues. My current project, the mk3 jetta, is a built 2.0L, which I threw a rod about a month after a turboed it, haha. It can handle alot more power now though.

I'm also getting out of the dubbing and hopefully into a yaris, its just hard for me to get what I want out of the car after I just spend like 2K on parts. Good choice btw!
