Do I have ABS?

I have the 2007 Sedan Base with Power Package. Does the power package provide ABS, or was that a separate option? I know the for sure way of finding out, but I would rather not :laugh:

We've got a 2007 S Sedan with Power Package. No ABS. It was a separate option, I believe, and quite rare. It became standard on the 2009 models.

Really? Because I did some research between the time I posted and when you replied and I found the official Toyota .pdf for the 2007 Yaris and it states that the power package for the Sedan and S Sedan included ABS with EBD. Weird.

Where are you guys getting this information about ABS being rare? Its an option, but I know for a fact there were yarii at the dealership with ABS when I bought my yaris in early 07... and iirc every S had ABS.

Its not that scary finding out the "hard way" just get some good open road and press as hard as you can at 45. You can let up the second they start squealing if you don't have ABS, just keep the wheel steady.

I have confirmed that my 07 Yaris does indeed have ABS. I took it for a little drive :)

easy way is to look under the hood
trace the b-lines off the b-master
if you see a box with like 4 steel lines coming off it you have ABS

or turn the key on acc there is usually a light (ABS) on display

Here's a weird one for ya... I have the base model 2007 LB and it definitely does not have ABS (nor do I need it). There is no indicator light, no "box" in the brake line system, no pedal pulsations when I brake hard.

Yet when the 2 insurance companies I've used have pulled up the VIN it shows that the car does have ABS, and they each have given me a discount for it even after I've told them that it doesn't have it. :clap:

+1 with my insurance company, and still I lock-up sometimes through canyons lol
