hi everybody i am from Costa Rica, I have a Yaris Tsport 2004 , and i was planing to turbo my car for at least from year and a half ago, the first option was the scion xb kit from greddy but since it would requiere some piping adjustment, i start seaching for other options, i found a forum called zero to hundred an to my surprise a guy from malasya was selling an original turbo half cut from a vitz rs turbo , with the trd turbo on it.
so i asked the guy if he could sell me just the parts that i need to run the turbo, on my engine, after some talking he was able to tear down the engine and sell me everything i need, so i was very happy, he send everything by UPS, so was very quick.
I never meet him before i just send the money, but it was a clean transaction.
so check the pictures, maybe in a week i will install everything.:burnrubber:

Nice you should do some good power with this kit!
How much you bought it anyway?
I think those injectors are used on standard 1ZZ engines

also the other problem we where getting was with the custom air intake, seems the MAF doesnt go well with the air intake , so we use the stock air filter box and everything went excelent, didt get any CEL, will post pics tomorrow.
cant wait until monday to go to track, to check time.
thanks to all for all the info.:w00t::bow::burnrubber:

after adding and old blow off valve , i am getting a air leak and CEL, what is weirds is at the same time I get CEL, i also got TRC AND VSC lights, have to wait until i get a new blow off to see if that fix the problem.
Does anybody here have something similar to this issue.
its Definitely de blow off couse if i put the palm of my hand it suck it,when its supposed to be closed.
And the CEL started immediately after i install the blow off.
thanks.

Seems like the person who weld the flanger never take out the BOV, so he fry the base rubber seal, an the air was leaking from it, today i will replace the seal with a new one.
Too many post an no pics, i will post some today , just cant find my camera cable.:iono:

Still having the air leak after replacing the o ring, defenety the BOV is ruined, but sounds so good :frown:. I am concerned about air/ fuel misture with these leak , is not some much air what i am lossing, but maybe after some miles i will have again the CEL, TRC AND VSC ligths have to wait to see whats up with that.

Do you have a scantool to read the DTC that causing the CEL to light?
Did you swap your ECM for the one you received with the turbo? If so, did it come off of a Vitz that had TRAC and VSC?

tomorrow i am gonna scan the car, i used the car almost about 2 weeks with the turbo computer on no cel, try track control and worked fine, as soon as i installed the BOV, have the cel, and vsc trc ligths on,so not sure whats the issue.
will post info about the scantool.

Did you pressure test it or just slap everything together? If not, build a pressure tester, hook up some air w/ a regulator! and see how it goes, you probably have more leaks than you think.
In reality, we all like to believe its easy to slap something together and just have it work, but theres always going to be small hickups.

can you tell us where you have the vac line for the blow off valve hooked up? looks to me like thats the problem, I just cant tell where the line t's to. I see it going from the throttle body to the "t", then from there i can't tell. You should be pulling vac for the BOV after the throttle plate, like from a nipple in the intake manifold.

Now looking at what he said that looks very awkwardly setup.
I can somewhat see it going T'd from throttle body nipple, to the bov, then T'd back into a checkvalve into the MAF sensor/airbox?

in the parts diagram, there is no picture of a BPV. Maybe Toyota wanted it that way, small motor, small turbo, no reason for an anti lag valve(BPV), that turbo probably makes max boost at no rpm. If you want to run that BOV, you might need to plumb it differently....

Looks like it's routed TB-"T"-BOV/EVAP purge valve.
You might want to add a One Way vacuum valve just before the EVAP valve. You might be leaking boost through it.

Recirculate it..... BOV is cool for noisez i won't lie

i take the vacum line from the same as the picture, i have a frend with exactly same car as mine and he use the vac line from same place that i take it,and that worked great for him, definitely theres and air leak couse of valve spring isnt closing completely , so after i change the valve were gonna see if thats the problem, thanks for all the info.

Running a bov that vents to the atmosphere is not recommended on cars with an air flow meter (such as your car) as it will run real rich on gear changes. If the outlet from the bov was plumbed back in to the piping after the air flow meter but before the turbo, you will get correct air flow readings, correct fuel mixtures and no cel's.
Because the bov is open at idle, it is drawing in un-metered and unfiltered air and that is what is causing the cel's.

i think your absolutely rigth, tomorrow will take out the BOV, and weld the intercooling pipping.
theres no fun in having a cool sound in you car BOV, is thats gonna damage it.

here;s the update i went to track and i am doing 15.5 s , and 15.9 with wet track, i have stock mufler with Cat, i will install a magnaflow and take out the cat, also need to replace the BOV, maybe on wekend.
so these is how it went, great response at beggining , turbo start boosting at 2.5 rpm up to 4.5 like a charm, but at higher rpm, in third and fourth gear , from 4.5 to 6 rpm engine acceleration decrease a lot. I need a few advices of what to do.
Also stock clucth is not responding so well, i felt a lot of power its been loosing from that ?
Before turbo i was doing 17.4 , so i gain almost 2 seconds, i have a friend that with same car turbo , its doing 14.8 just with turbo, no exhaust no aftermarket clucth ,
so what can be wrong with my car?.
i am boosting 0.5 bar, thats what trd computer its setup.
i am plannig to take it to 14s , so besides clucth, muffler ,crank pulley, what are other mods i could do?
Thanks for all.
Rodrigo.

Before you consider more mods, make the car as fast as possible like it is.
What gauges are you watching while you race?

Pressurise the intake to check for air leaks and a leaking bov. They will cause a loss of power at the top end.

after adding exhaust taking out the cat, i went to dyna, and my car has 122hp at wheels,132 torque, still need to add a new clucth , kn filter.
From trd specs mi car should have 125.26 hp at wheels, so 122 its not bad at all.
Will post dyna sheet soon.:w00t:
I am running an autometer boost gauge, and oil pressure, still need to change my Bov, still loosing some air.
i will get and Super AFC 2 pretty soon and a manual boost control ,also planning to add AEM water meth kit.
To push everything up to 160 hp.
Hi everyone, Fett22 is a friend of mine.. I have a Yaris T sport TRD turbo. Running AEM water/meth inyection, boosting 8-9psi, K Y N filter, lightweight NST pulley, ACT stage 1 (street) clutch, 2 1/4 exhaust, no cat.
Last time I went to the dyno my car put 165lbs torque and 162whp..
What I need right now is a TRD Helical LSD... I someone has it.. I really need it..
