This thing draws 30W of power @ 14.2V. That isn't enough to do anything but put a restriction in your intake and a load on your alternator.

Products like this have been around for decades and have been proven to be complete crap every time. The way I see it, if it really worked and gave some (any) measurable gains some of the auto makers would be installing them.

What the heck is "CF". It sure isn't CFM (Cubic Feet per Minute). Maybe it's Cubic Feet per Lunar Cycle. And at what pressure? None, I'll bet.

As a reference, turbos that are appropriately sized for our 1.5 liter engine (Garret T25/T28) will, at most, force around 400 to 450 cubic feet per minute of air into your engine (CFM) at 6 or more PSI.

Besides, any time one of the selling points is "Performance sound from engine bay", you know its crap.

hahaha.....maybe enough at idle...

there's a guy with a real supercharger out there that's electric. uses 6 batteries and supplies over 50psi of boost for short bursts...IE, a quarter mile. he made it with 3 starters, 6 batteries, and i believe it's a vacuum cleaner motor....maybe a roots style charger idk...it's on a miata i believe, or a rx7

Back in the day (I just love saying that) as a senior project for college, I designed an electric supercharger system. Here is how it worked out... NOT GOOD. It would take ~100+volt DC motor at about 50 amps to produce enough air flow to get anywhere close to a volumetric efficiency of a real turbo or supercharger. These electric systems are all scams from what I have seen. Save your money for a nice dinner somewhere, you'll be much better off. :smile:
