Hi All!
First, I'm going to point out that I'm pretty much ignorant about cars. I'm 19 years old, have never owned a car before, and am (in regards to cars) stereotypically female. I AM willing to learn though!
I'm in the lucky position (or will be in a couple of months) of having a mother able to pay cash for a new car for me, as we are selling our house. She says she wants to get me a new car 'cause no one ever bought her a car when she was young and she reckons she'll get a kick out of it (yay!).

I really like the Yaris. As someone who drove an automatic 1998 Ford Explorer (which my mech friend referred to as the 'exploder') for the last year while I've been on my Learner's Licence I really am looking forward to a small, economic car.

Now, I know that being willing to pay cash straight up for a new car is something the car-sales-folk love, but I don't know what would count as a good deal. And I really don't want to get screwed over. This is where I need :help:.
I WOULD like the safety pack. Window tint and the anti-fade stuff on the paint would be nice, but not if they bump the price way up. I'm pretty sure keyless entry, and bluetooth enabled sound system come standard in Australia - but not 100% sure. Other than that, I'm a pretty A-B driver (though that might just be habit from our ex-petrol-glutton).
Thanks in advance for advice
