Hello,

I am really considering this little car (Yaris 3D HB). However, I've gotten used to a moonroof, cruise control, tachometer, and nice solid ride that more or less makes my Civic seem like a fun/luxury ride in comparison to the Yaris which is missing these things.

Anyone else made this switch and been happy?

I'm assuming the HP to weight ratio is still in range that it won't feel like a stone right?

Thanks

I bought an si brand new back in 2000.

The yaris is light years better.

I had a 97 Civic coupe, i love my yaris but i would kill to have the civic again, plus if your going to mod the yaris there really isn't too much of an aftermarket for it. Replacement parts are readily available for your civic too.

I had a 89 CRX (Not a Civic but its lil brother) before I got my Yaris and the one thing that I actually love is not feeling like I'm laying on the asphalt while driving... I can actually see passed some cars!

I do however miss my Honda.... maybe I'll buy another one when the Yaris is paid off! as my next project car...

Unless you got a good reason to offload your Civic, stick with it...

My 00 si felt pretty cheap compared to my yaris.

And lets be real here - everything you could want to mod is available for the yaris.

Yes the civic has more options but the yaris isnt that mod unfriendly.

Plus the yaris has a much lower entry point.

You could buy a new yaris and install a turbo for less than a new civic ex.

Went from a 2001 Civic sedan to a 2010 Yaris sedan. The Yaris is smoother riding and gets equal or better mileage. Power was a little better in the civic, well, I should say it FELT better, but in reality it wasnt. With my Microimage rear sway bar the Yaris handles way better. I'm happy. And to boot, I sold my Civic to my oldest son, so I can drive it anytime I want anyways, lol

I had a 98 Civic EX. I really like the Yaris but the Honda was the best car I ever owned.
I bought the Yaris because my brother works at a Toyota dealership. You really can't go wrong with a Honda or a Toyota. If my brother worked at a KIA dealership I would have bought another Honda.
KIA = keep it in asia

You realize Kia is made in Korea... right?

That's probably a good thing. Keeps the thefts low since they won't be jacking someone's car for aftermarket parts.

I went from a 95 Civic to an 08 Yaris. The biggest difference is visibility that lets me see more but at the same time the larger pillar makes a blind spot for pedestrians and cars that signal too close.

I used to have a Civic SI and now have an '08 3dr LB, I like the Yaris a lot better but the one thing the Civic had over it IMO was better control in the snow.

(I just use snow tires on the Yaris and it does fine, but without them I think it's horrible.)

I had a CRX HF 1987 before my Yaris and I missed it for *** a while***.

I had to get rid of the CRX, though, because I needed a reliable DD and it no longer was reliable, and the Yaris runs like clockwork so no regrets... (or not too often ;)

Unless you got a good reason to offload your Civic, stick with it...

+1

good luck with your decision.

Yes, and the Yaris is built in Japan... What's your point?
