Hey everyone! I'm new to this forum so sorry in advance if I made a new thread in the wrong area.
I bought a used 2008 Toyota Yaris S Auto Trans from a dealer for 10500 and it's still under Manufacturer Warranty.
Here are some pics.

I noticed when I got home that the front bumper lip or splitters are missing.
Shouldn't they come with it if it's a Yaris 'S'? And is this something I can get replaced through the manufacturer since I'm still under warranty?
ALSO, I'm up for MOD suggestions because I need some ideas!
First thing I want to do is buy some rims and tires. Probably these from Wheelfire.com:

or

Those are wheel and tire packages for about 600-700 bucks. That's the cheapest I can find online.

Very strange about the front lip.
You make sure it wasn't in any accidents?

Ya I submitted the VIN for a carfax report and it said it's clean and free of accidents. VERY STRANGE. I might just buy a universal lip and stick it under the bumper just to fill in the space.

Decide which way you want to go or get a picture in your mind of the look you are after before slamming stuff on. Use the search feature, read all the posts and look at all the pics if you need inspiration or thoughts from others. Make a plan then set your goals to make it happen. There are numerous sedan threads or posts by sedan owners with pics. Good luck and enjoy your new vehicle.
As an afterthought....one of the biggest mods to me and one with minimal cash outlay is making the vehicle purty. I mean super clean, that will draw attention right off the bat and give you a sense of pride. At least it does for me....I can't count the number of times folks have said ...damn that sucker is clean and not going to the few mods I've made till afterwards which enhance the overall look. Just a suggestion.

Erm, you got taken.
The S version comes with the complete lip kit.
It also comes with factory Toyota rims (which if you look at the factory breakdown of accessories, is most of the cost).
That seems like the base model that someone added a couple of lips to it. Check your Car Fax, I bet it doesn't list the model as being a type 'S'.
To all potential used-car buyers:
Always check the VIN with a source like CarProof before purchase!

Thanks! Ya I spent 2 hours all last night reading through different posts and I've been seeing some great stuff! I'm getting some seat covers from ebay cause the seats look really easy to stain. I'm also going to get it cleaned today cause it's REALLY dusty.
Thanks again!

Ya the first thing I did was to check the CarFax report and it was a clean title and there was no damage or anything and it didn't mention any signs of alterations. So I'm not sure why it's like that. However I'm taking it to manufacturer since it's still under warranty to get that checked out and possibly have the lip replaced.
Thanks for the post!

CARFX is not 100% . We bought a used 2000 ESCORT with CARFAX and come to find out it was in a wreck . There was overspray that I hadn't noticed at time of purchase . The large rental company or dealership must of fixed it in their shop and not reported it . Have seen it in person .

Exactly, nothing can possibly be 100% if someone absolutely wants something to not be reported.
However I think it is cool I can go and check online to see what the dealership has done to my car.

The first thing that I try to do is check the service record. At 28k I would like to see proof of 5 oil changes.

S interior has upgraded seat fabric, I think. Leather wrapped steering wheel too.
Can you post some seat and dash pics for us please?
Take a good hard look at that front bumper for signs it was a replacement. I think the S does give you alloys and fog lights as part of the kit.
Do you have power windows, etc.?
Hey I bought a '97 Saturn SL2 and never noticed the whole drivers side of the car was a repaint till MONTHS later! Used car guy sure never said anything.
My friend's 2005 Vette convertible came up clean on CarFax and private owner swore it was wreck free. Turns out the ins. co. paid out 6K for hood repairs! He never knew for about 3 years!
Nice car, hope it serves you well.
Let's see some inside pics!:)
