i dont know if this has been asked before but i did a search (13 inch) and didnt get any hits.
i was wondering if it would be possible to get 13inch(175) winter tires and put them on 13inch rims (with 4x100 bolt pattern) and put them on a yaris.
how badly will this mess up my speedo and/or my entire car? my car has stock 15" alloys on it now, are 13" too big of a difference? are 13" just a bad idea all together? let me know what you think
As long as you run proper tire sizing (175/70/13), it won't mess up your speedo. But it will be hard to find 13's that will clear the Yaris caliper without some spacers. I would suggest going for 14's, which still may require some spacers depending on the wheel.

lol, thanks, i didnt even think about that. 14's it will be then. i wanted to have as much space in the wheel gap as possible cuz my 15's build up alot of snow and slush and it makes them even worse.

True that there aren't a LOT of wheel choices in 13", and the ones I have are wide for racing. They do clear the calipers though.

i fit 13X9 4" backspace Bassett Racing wheels on my MR2 spyder with no spacers and i'm guessing my front caliper/rotor combo is no smaller than the yaris.

I tried a set of 12" Subaru Justy steel wheels as an experiment, and they were less than 1/2" shy of clearing the caliper, so I would think that 13" steelies would be OK.

13's fit, just hard to find a set that'll clear yaris calipers....
you're better off finding some 14" wheels/tires used on kijiji since just about anything with a 4x100 pattern will fit the yaris's small hub center...
tire size be damned...you can run almost any available 14", aside from a 195-65-14 and still be fine in the winter

but 185-65-14 and 205-65-14 will fit?
205/65/14 will be WAY too tall. 185/65/14 is fine.

Some education Jeff.
The middle number (65) represents the sidewall height as a percentage of width.
185/65 = sidewall of ~121mm
205/65 = sidewall of ~133mm

it's a snow tire.. who cares?
but then again, 205 is too wide for a snow tire on a tincan-light yaris

lol, i know the middle number was the profile %, it was just the way u said 195-65-14 would not fit, like that certain size was a triangle or square. lol

FWIW, I have 13x7.5 Lenso's with a 25mm offset as my racing rims for my Echo.
