Hi all!
Just sold our beloved Yaris 3 door hatch:frown: as we're having a baby and need to upsize!
Just wondering what a Yaris Sedan would be like with a baby... e.g. how big is the boot (trunk!), and would there be enough room for a baby seat/ capsule in the back.
Anyone here use their Yaris as a family car?
We're kind of tossing up between a Yaris and a Corolla...
Any thoughts appreciated

Well i have a 08 yaris sedan and just some examples of room today i managed to fit 18 10' pvc pipes in the car with trunk closed as for trunk room, i have 2 kicker subs in a box n the trunk and the box is decently sized and their is still enought room back their for me my girl and two friends to have all of our stuff to go up north for the weekend. with no subs in the trunn however their is a lot of room. i would say that the car is definetly a great family car. Rear seat is spacious and the car is great on gas, so wont be blowing money on gas to go to and from school doctors etc... if you go to Photos on the forum and find the post by me in which is named New to the Forum i have tons of pictures of the sedan and i believe i have a picture of the trunk

the sedan has a pretty decent trunk considering how small a car it really is! it's deep enough to allow a couple laundry baskets which i use for storage bins(that way our groceries don't slide around). we were able to fit a full-size stoller easily in the back(without the laundry baskets of course) when we needed to. my only complaint about the trunk is that the pass-thru opening is rather small and only narrow things can go thru it easily. this is, however, common to a lot of cars.

the backseat is roomy(again, for a small car) and has been our primary family car for almost 5 years. i used to own a 3-door liftback like yours also and the 'trunk' really could only hold a few grocery bags with the seat up(required for me since there was a booster seat in the back). my back really appreciates having 4 doors also!

hope this helps!

i think the interior dimensions of the yaris sedan and corolla are almost identical.

The interior and trunk space are comparable to a '99 > 2002 COROLLA and PRIZM . We had both . Gas mileage is about the same as well . The best I ever got out of the 2000 PRIZM 5 speed manual was 43 m.p.g.. Miss that car  .
