Hey guys,
I just recently purchases a 2007 Certified Toyota Yaris 4 Door Sedan manual. I have driven a manual since I turned 16 and am experiencing a problem I have never encountered. When coming from a start (typically after starting the car) and starting out when I'm about half way released from the clutch in 1st I notice a clunking sound? Any suggestions as to why??
Thanks!!! :)

why don't you bring it to the dealer and let them hear it. If it's certified, there shouldn't be anything wrong with it.

Any suggestions as to why??
--could be a number of things i.e. bad motor mount(s),play/bad (in) swaybar endlink(s),etc
if you purchased this recently as you stated, take it back to where you got it from and voice your concern unless you bought it "as is".
if so look into a reliable repair shop

What are you a pedo bear?
I bought a 2010 new off the lot and it does the same thing. Its just the clutch grabbing. All the manuals on the lot did it, a yaris thing id imagine. I brought it up on the test drive and they pulled it into service. The techs said it was just the clutch engaging.

Yeah, due to the motor mount design, the motor moves a lot when you dump the clutch.
