buying a new yaris ....2010 vs 2011?

looking for compact car to finance...
a dealer still got stock of 2010 3-door yaris.
is it a good choice to get it having some discount over a 2011 model?
but then...in 5 years time, people will think the car is older that the actual year it was bought......:frown:

which is practical to buy today (july 2011)? an old stock new 2010 or the current 2011 yaris? will there be an insurance impact? or let say the tax after how many years? since 2010 and 2011 does not have any diffrence?:iono:

Plus the 2010 will be before the "after the earthquake scramble to find car parts to build with" ordeal.

I'm not real sure that I would want ANY new car built after the earthquake. All of the OEMs have made parts substitutions to keep running.
