Litback 3 Door
5 Speed Manual Transmission
Convenience/All Weather/Mats
Sticker $12,625
Paid $12,900 out the door with new plates, and tax/title=$100 UNDER invoice

Loving the car so far coming from 5 BMW's, it's new, but it's also nice to be driving such a dead reliable car that is quite economical. Gotta love how much cheaper Toyota insurance is over Honda's.

As you can see, the car is bone stock except for removing the dumb hubbies.

PLANS

LTW 16" wheels with 205 summer tires
Tanabe DF springs
debadge rear
Sand and paint both Toyota badges front/rear black
Tint 20%/35% front
Upgrade front/rear seakers

I look forward to a long future with this car. Hope it treats me as well as I'll be treating it.

Looking good! Did you get rid of your Bimmer (s)? Or is this a second car for commute? I must say you got a great deal even if its just the very base model (as far as features go). And congrats!!

you got yours for 300 less than i did. i paid 13,2 out the door but this back at the end of october. i guess these cars are getting more common now so prices are falling ever so slowly.

I've kind of outgrown the fast car scene, and just paid cash for this car and am loving not having 2 insurance premiums and only one car for now.

Just to give a taste of how crazy I am about buying/selling cars, the below list is cars I've owned and sold since the first of 2004.

1-1995 BMW 318is, Jet Black, college car, had for 3 yrs

2-00 Nissan Sentra beater, that I bought for really cheap, drove for 2 months, and sold for a $1800 profit

3-1992 BMW 325i, Jet Black, rocked for 6 months, and sold for a $1200 profit

4-1995 BMW M3, Avus Blue, drove a year, and broke even on the sale

5-2005 Honda Civic value package coupe, Silver, bought to drive daily, so the M3 hat kept breaking down wouldn't have to be my only car....traded this in for the next car, needless to say I didn't make money hehe. Only lost $1300 though.

6-2006 Acura RSX Type S, Vivid Blue Pearl, this car got me in my only accident of my life after it had only 1800 miles on it. A stupid semi cut me off and ran me into a construction area. He kept driving. :frown: I traded this in for the next car.....and lost my ass. :(

7-2006 VW MKV GTI, Candy White, this car was sweet with the 2.0 turbo, but I got tired of having expensive cars, so I sold it and rocked a old school E30 BMW 318is for a little bit before I bought the Yaris.

8-1991 BMW 318is, Brilliant Red, paid $2K for it, it was pretty beat and I spent a grand fixing it up and about 150 labor hours, sold it for $3700 though.

....And here I am with the Yaris....whew!!! that's a long story. ;)

BTW, thanks for the kind words too guys! I like the dark side of the Yaris...hehe, that sounded funny.

Wow! You still got a great deal though! I think I actually paid something like $11.9 for the car without the added taxes, etc.

yep, but at least you got to enjoy those few months of exlusivity... i'm starting to see a yaris just about everytime I hit 294 or 90/94 through chicago.. trip to racine, WI yesterday yielded at least 2 LB's, and one sedan... probably more sedans but I still cant pick em out easily.

Time to start customizing!

Welcome to the board, btw! Hopefully more of the ever so more common chicago yaris owners sign on here and we can get a meet organized :)

where in chicago are ya?

steelies look cool...
but the tires look tiny...
maybe get a set of bigger steelies and wider tires...?
your car looks dropped already...

The spring should be the only "work." I already debadged it and am getting ready to sand and paint the Toyota badges. The wheels will wait until I 100% decide on what I want....

Even though we had a small debate i hope the best for you and your yaris. I would like to see it fixed up. I am looking for a old e30 myself. I cant find a decent b13 sentra se-r anymore so the e30 is my other option. Ill keep my ef honda forever just because who it belonged to and it still delivers 35+mpg at 18 years old. Keep us posted on the upgrades.

Appreciate it. I love the old B13 SE-R's...even if they are a little box hehe. Kind of like the e30. I was only giving you crap about the hatch. I was really close to buying a 92 EG hatch with a full 01 Type R swap. It was a lot of car for $6K, just decided against it though because of where I live and worrying about it being stolen. A 92 Civic with crank windows and no power anything isn't exactly the hardest thing to steal.

I'll attach some pics of my e30 in all its glory. It was a really fun car to drive. The 1st pic is when I brought it home...it was a mess.

Man you're spoiled.

Did you put Recaro seats in that Bimmer?! Those seats are so comfy as-is! Now in that M... maybe you'd need the extra -ahem- support.

Ehh, I spoiled myself....and look where it got me. A 100 hp econobox hehe. Just kidding.

All the black coupe pics are from my 1st Bimmer, a 95 318is I bought in 00 from the orig owner with only 37K miles. That car has 6 different sets of wheels, 4 different seats, 3 steering wheels, 4 suspensions, 3 stereos, etc. Needless to say, that car is where all my money went in college. The last pic is of my 92 Dinan Stage 4 325i, that car moved and actually kept up with my buddies stock 93 FD RX-7 until 90 or so. It was equal to stock E36 M3's until really late highway speeds.

Those Recaro SE seats are the best reclinable one they ever made. My Dad's 84 Carrera Targa had them back in the mid 80's and Recaro has since discont making them. I found those as a new set from a Recaro distributor off of ebay back in 02. Got them for a good deal since they retail for $650 each, I paid $1000 shipped for the pair then plus brackets and sliders. I also had Sparco Sprint fixed back racing seats, sweet for turns, bad for a daily driver. Not fun to get in and out of being 6'3" 225.

Nice cars. I had a e36 that i bought new in 94 with all dinan, and hamman goods on it. I am back to my econo cars to. Cars are such a huge waste of funds. I mean its my hobby but i would like to start with a lower platform now. There are parts for the bimmer that can cost as much as a base yaris...lol. My best freinds a radiologist....the feild i am going in within a year or so and he had a 850. What a money pit.
