Greetings,

I will be picking up my new 2011 Toyota Yaris this coming Friday. I was lucky enough to find this website and will begin reading to learn from all of you.

Nice to meet you virtually Tom and welcome. As an interesting aside the POS Tom Tom One that I had last summer said that Niagara Falls doesn't exist...you just reminded me of that! You will have to be sure to post up some pics upon arrival of the new bird.

Well I picked up my new 2011 Yaris on Friday. This car so meets my needs. i am getting used to driving a stick again. Here are a few things I noticed so far:

1, The TRD rear sway bar was an excellent choice for me. This really helped the cars handling. Now the car has a nice compliant ride (preferred over the Mini and the Fiat 500) and does not sway when you push it. The car has less push and the rear of the car tracks better.

2, I now notice the body flexing some when you push the car.

3, The headlights project a nice pattern at night.

4, I really, really like all the cubby holes and storage spots.

5, I really really like the dash layout, it gives the care a sense of having more roominess.

I look forward to customizing / personalizing this car and learning from all the participants from this bulletin board. I will post a few pics soon.

thanks, Tom.......

Congratulations Tom! and Welcome to YarisWorld
If you haven't searched around much, you will find a ton of information here.
Some might criticize for asking questions before using the search function, but feel
free to ask. There are a lot of good people here.

Revsson,

Thanks for the welcome. I have been reading this BB for a bit and have learned much from others. I have used the search function already to get some information already. It is a nice function t have.

I plan on a few mods before the snow flies up here involving auxiliary lighting and cosmetics.

Thanks again, Tom.......
