Thanks, that's what I seemed to gather from your experience. I can see the existing clutch switch to start the car, but where does the other switch go? it looks like there's a mounting location just on the other side of the existing switch, but I also can't locate the connector, unless they stuffed it way up under the dash. If that's the case, I may have to have one of my kids fish it out because there's no way I can contort myself.

The switch in question replaces the pedal up stop bolt. Look where the clutch pedal sits when you're not pressing it.

has the radio touch system with the bluetooth call buttons on the right of the steering wheel aswell.

Installed cruise control stalk and it is working perfect. Along with that installed ASL switch in the steering wheel. But it is not working. I am also trying to add cruise control to my 2016 L. I am just about ready to order the parts. I have a manual so I need another switchbfor the clutch pedal. The parts I ordered and am going to install are:

1) On/Off Switch/Stalk - 84632-08021
2) Clutch Switch - 88280-42010 (For a manual transmission)
3) Stalk Cover - 45186-0D150-C0

I have a US 2016 Yaris L. I popped the airbag off and to my suprise, no wire to connect to the switch and no screws to secure the switch. Do any of you know what the deal is? I thought these things are prewired for cruise control. Also does amyone know the screw size to secure the switch? Thanks!

Just an update: I was told by my service advisor that they are not willing to help, install, or sell parts pertaining to installing cruise control. Apparently they are spooked because of the past law suits that had to do with the stuck accelerators.

Your dealer person is crabby apparently. The dealer I bought my 2016 Yaris L from actually gave me the clutch switch and installed it for me after I showed them I plugged in the factory switch from another car into the steering wheel and that it lit up on the dash. The service adviser wanted to see if it would actually work hahaha.

I remember that! That’s why I wouldn’t give up, I know it’s been done before. My dealer deals with a lot of little old ladies buying Corolla’s, Camry’s, and Rav4’s. They just sell the higher package and could care less about modding.

I've just installed the cruise control stalk into my 2012 Yaris with a 1.3 (2NZ) engine. Its automatic and GCC (middle east) spec. Straight plug and play into the 4 pin connector slot which was empty next to the 10 pin connector. Mine has audio buttons as well bluetooth handset buttons. I didn't have to swap any pins whatsoever, cruise light and set all work fine.
Took about 10 minutes including setting up the audio after battery disconnect.
Only thing remaining is for the oem cover with the hole and rubber grommet to arrive.

CANM8 England,It works fine in my car from OBD and can bus,the only thing is that it
dont get brake signal to can bus, but they send me extra conection from the brake padel to cruise module,I have test it already and it works fine without extra adjustment,it has a cruise brake butten on the backside of the stulk

Which instrument do you have.
If its the basic one without RPM meter it probably also dont have the cruise light.
Then you can switch it to one of these which should have cruise lights, my car has it.

I have the one with the RPM meter and i am sure that it has the cruise
light because i can see it with a flashlight but for some reason the light don't lit .
Maybe it's something that need to be unlocked through toyota diagnostic
computer or something else that i don't know .

Came here through Google. Got a brand new 2019 Yaris Hybrid (EU model), given to me by my employer (it's a 4 years lease). First off, I'm really impressed with the build quality and level of equipment for a base model. I do a lot of highway driving, so cruise control is a must for me. I bought a "cheap" stalk on eBay, received it on Friday and yesterday I installed it. Unclipping the airbag was a PITA, but finally I got into the steering wheel. Installed the stalk and drove off to test it. Everything works great. The 2019 steering wheel is again different, so the usual covers sold out there, don't match. Ordered the correct one from Toyota. It was 5€ and delivered in one day. Part code is: 45186-0D030-C2

GIVING ADVICE TO AVOID A STUPID MISTAKE I MADE on my Toyota Yaris III (100 VVT-i Collection 5p, 2010–2015)

I spent a lot of time browsing forums to get the cruise control stalk to work on my car (the clutch switch and CC light on the instrument cluster were already in place).
The reason it wasn’t working was that I had wired it incorrectly in the steering wheel. At first, I plugged the stalk into the brown cable connector—it fit, but it was a bit smaller. Instead, I should have connected it where all the steering wheel cables meet (blue, brown, and yellow connectors). There was an empty slot there that perfectly matched the stalk connector.
For other Yaris models, you might need to install additional parts. Here’s a great step-by-step DIY guide:
