Hey all, just bought a used 2007 3-door manual everything Yaris and took a road trip this past week. So glad I checked the tire pressure before leaving as it was stupid low, it was a real chore to get up to 32 psi. I've heard that's an old dealer trick to make prospective cars seem to ride better, but to me it just felt squishy, much better after airing up.
My car was great on the interstate, felt fine at 70-80 (oops) mph. I went around 100 miles round trip and a bit of local driving and my gas gauge has gone down two bars, does that sound about right? (good mileage?)
Anyway, I've been lurking for awhile, ordered some Redline oil for the tranny and may look into a sway bar and a short shift kit in the future. This seems like a great place to learn and make friends so thanks for having me!
