Hi, newbi here,
I am octogenarian & replacing my 2000 Polo, where I find now, & especially the wife, arthritis makes it difficult with the large heavy door, manhandling the gears the clutch & throttle.
I've been taken in by the new yaris t-spirit for its automatic/cruise control & small 4 doors (We only need 2 but.........).
The salesman has praised it as excellent, easy to drive, no road.tax, 50+ mpgln etc, etc.
Does any one drive this car to give us his first hand opinion/advice?
Is it reliable, rusts quickly, expensive maintenance, & especially the "multidriveS" is it a good system or troublesome?, & does it burn more fuel? And what about that "push to start button" thing?
And how about all those electronics controllong brakes, roll, stability etc etc?
I have a small sat-nav & have no blue tooth phone, is it worth getting the extras like Touch & Go etc?.
Was surprised that it has shoes instead of discs rear brakes.
Any help for the uninitiated will be appreciated .........nick
PS. was it Toyota that had a lot of probles way back with engines not responding or brakes failing or was it another Co.
