I installed some LED tail lamps today but having a small problem
When i press the brake, the tail lights goes brighter but the rear light logo on the dash comes on, as well as all the interior console lights, they all come on and off with the brake. Do I need a relay to fix this?
thanks
On the right is the one i am using http://i01.i.aliimg.com/photo/v0/528147101/Cree_Q5_plus_12pcs_SMD5050_total_7W.jpg

that is what happended to LED, but i think this will not works good with our tail light since it's not light up the whole housing like the regular bulbs which is better for brake
These will look good with signal lights or reverse.

yes you will need to have a resistor like this that matches the ohm/wattage/voltage for the application:

Why mess with a perfectly good working set of light?

I have LEDs in my tails similar to the one on the left and have had no problems. I've replaced brake, signal, and backup lights. Only issue is the lack of draw on the signal lights, which cause them to blink fast.
As far as "why mess with a perfectly good working set of light?" I got them because the amber bulb in the clear/chrome tail light housing looked like ass. Much cleaner look with an amber LED instead of an amber tinted bulb. Plus, they last longer.
