Hi Yarisworlders,
Just curious how fast you guys and gals have gone in your Yari?
Myself, I haven't gone past 65mph, but was thinking about speed this morning when I noticed the speedometer goes up to 130mph. And I thought to myself, "Could this car really go 130mph if need be?"
Just a thought....

This may be a question with some folks coming back with unreal numbers IMHO. Personally I have gone 133mph by GPS, speed record of 129.9mph and 146+mph on the dyno when I hit the rev limiter in 5th.

Hit the speed limiter at ~117 GPS verified MPH.
Won't be doing that again any time soon.

before header, exhaust,K&N drop in intake and 8 bars only 101 mph. Now i can go up to 120 mph. The computer will shut down the fuel for you.

these cars are speed limited by the computer (at least in Cali).
In a legal environment (El Mirage), i topped her out to about 113-115.

They are speed limited globally to 118mph. Now your actual speedometer reading of course is also affected by your wheel/tire combo diameter. So for example if you are running low profile tires on 15" wheels you are actually going slower than what the speedo shows and vice versa if you change wheels or tires that put you larger than the stock height.

I hold it right now at 129.9mph. Hoping to break it with a 140+. Can't go above 145 though otherwise they won't count it and I will get put into probation status for excessive speed. You are allowed +-10mph and I am rated for 135 currently.

well, here is proof in the pudding that the Yaris can move. I had actually been going faster and still slowly climbing, but was struck by a cross wind about 50ft from the marker which slowed me down some:

I guess it is all relative, but in my case, I have gone faster in my Yaris than I did in my 1977 Pontiac Trans Am.

I've done 75mph in my 08 Yaris sedan
An indicated 96 mile/hour in a 1.4 Diesel 2010 Yaris. The speedometer read higher than that indicated by sat-nav, so probably just over 90 mile/hour. That was on a dual carriageway road and around 2am, virtually no other traffic, no cameras and definitely no police! ( limit on that particular road 70 mph)

Question on the calibration is whether or not the car has aftermarket wheel/tire combo and what brand tires and size?
