That would be a close match to the Super White. Polar White unfortunately not so much.

Technically illegal since your tail lights have no reflectors?

Yes, they do. I love the old time look.

That's why I got them. I've always like that unique rounded cast 8 spoke "mag wheel" style. They're nothing like any of the contemporary wheels made today...

Looks ok. I'd get ticketed in my state for not having a red reflector.
Should put LEDs in there instead!

Do they actually give reflector tickets in Japan?

 My first thought = looks great. My second thought = probably violating some nanny state California law. Then I read thebarber's question and laughed (other 'nanny states' besides California and even other countries). I agree with you. Who cares.

I would venture to guess there are more people driving cars with expired tags or inspection stickers vs. light problems.

I agree. And inspection stickers , primarily a money grab from the state and a nod to any 'lobby' that may be representing inspection station interests, along with a fine (rather than just a sign off fix it ticket) for no front plate. Can't complain though, given no state income tax, flat car registration fee tied to the age of the car rather than initial cost, fairly low property tax (high rate, but great value per dollar for housing), fairly cheap energy, cheap food, cheap gas etc. I wonder how many states even have mandatory inspections. Unless things have changed in the last two years or so, California doesn't.

why?

many states do. It really makes the cops jobs easier. Instead of spending times staring at every vehicle they see, they can actually do their job.

Had a cop in Florida notice that my license registration expired. It is one small 1" square sticker with the year. imagine how much time this police officers spends staring at these little squares, and imagine how much better she would like her job if she did not have to.

Hmmm... I am actually thinking of adding a polished stainless steel trim panel on my hatch of my 2012. My thinking is that it would reflect the glare of the headlights of those morons who like to drive around with their high beams on or misaligned aftermarket HIDs.

?? Do you mean that one has to have an inspection done in Florida in order to get the registration sticker and that registration sticker is the hard to see one inch square? (as I was wondering how many states require inspections, not how many states have registration stickers like Texas)

There is no inspections in Florida or emission laws. They send you the registration sticker is the little one that goes on the license plate.

I did something similar to this on my echo, I painted the amber corner markers on the front bumper, during the day its all silver, but since there's a bulb in that reflector, during the night the amber light shines through
