Straight pipe!!!! :D

Awesome sound!
How's the throttle response after the pipe?
Were there any engine warning lights?

G-Ammo
01-17-2014, 11:51 AM
Thanks! Love the sound!! :D

Eeehm the throttle response is a bit better, not much :O cuz ofthe stupid electrical gas pedal thing... but together with the injen cold air intake i felt improvement.

No warning lights whatsoever ;)

Me too... but to get them to holland would cost total of 340$ (just mailed the seller)... so I'm not going to do that :( Going to find some seats here in europe probably.
Also they wont make custom brackets for me to fit in the yaris.

new updates in a few weeks:

''Stance'' stickers on the rims (on one spoke per rim)...
And in March im going to blind the 3 rear windows! 97% dark :D

G-Ammo

Alright guys... the horn has been fixed... the problem was: the steering hub was pressing the connector for the horn and airbag wires down into the steering mechanism, which resulted to be broken when we put on the steeringhub. They replaced the steering mechanism and had to drill into the steering wheel hub to make the space bigger and deeper so the connectors wouldnt get pressed together again... total price: 530 Euro's...

Almost a new set of 15'' wheels man :( jesus....

Well yeah... I'm not going to do that anymore man... the fender flares aren't working on the yaris :(

Apart from that... Going for the XXR531 in the future: 15x8 ET20 :) or maybe 16''.

We'll see! More pics of the wheels coming soon with the new d1 spec stuff! Just waiting for the center caps from ebay.

New idea!!!!!

Sport seats:
NRG ones... I love the look of these, clean and simple!
Hope garm has the right brackets for them (already messaged him on this)!
They are 400 - 450 euro's for 2 seats, cloth & red stitching!!

http://www.avb-sports.be/toyota/yaris/2009-2011_7/custom-interior/seats/15213/

And I'll probably throw out the back seat and replace the whole empty spot with a plank cut in the shape of the back part of the yaris (floor) and then going to use the same material like i used in my trunk on the audiosystem, to cover the wood: black velvet.

:D nice idea... when everything goes as plan.. i should have this next month!!!

Few updates... and a downgrade :(

Updates!

https://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-prn2/t1.0-9/1979525_10202220361443731_363755333_n.jpg

NRG long open wheel nuts & gold valve caps! These lug nuts won't let go of that coating!
Worth the 90 euro's!

I also removed the center caps... dunno... gives it a more awesome look for some reason :P

Downgrades:

I had to remove my rear 15mm spacers... I think I have driven into a puthole here in belgium (which the roads are known for) and I think the wheel and spacer got quite a big hit on them... 1 rim has a very tiny dent in it and the spacer isnt straight anymore (wheel is shaking when I put them on). Also... the screws from the spacers pushed the wheels outside, but that probably is because of the puthole... who knows!

So now my rear wheels are pretty much underneath the fenders (which i don't really like)...

https://scontent-a-ams.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash3/t1.0-9/998453_10202220362323753_1468212507_n.jpg

(my car is on an unlevel surface, so the gap isnt that big normally!! haha)

But my next plan is to buy the rims in staggered setup with keeping the front wheels and going for 15x8 ET0 in the rear!! But that has to wait 2 more months probably :(

Annnndddddd the Wedge Brackets arrived! only took 3/4 days to go from USA to Belgium... thats some priority shit right there.

https://scontent-b-ams.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn2/t1.0-9/10172822_10202243928632896_2729382016950665132_n.j pg

(i also ordered a rising sun flag, to cover the rear empty space i'm going to have when my rear seats are out!! :D)

Now some advice from you guys... which screws/bolts should I use to mount the brackets on the sliders?

Thanks!!!!

Tadaaaa! :D with a little bit of pushing (the seatbelt is pushing the plastic console inside, where the e-brake is) it went it pretty well... they really feel good and i'm sitting a bit lower (oh the irony).

hope you like it!

Also... I folded down the back seat... because when we tried to take it out; there were cables running underneath it and we didn't know what they were. so we kept the back seat in.
As a finishing touch I put the rising sun flag over it! :D

Oh i just saw ur answer Deadliest..

I found them on Jappower.nl (dutch site)... Yes the seat mounts are from Wedge Engineering... they make them for the Yaris! Only downside is that the seatbelt spot is more outwards into the center console which results that the plastic will bend inside (don't really care about that)...

They are Recaro Type-R seats (they are replica's!)

Woooh! I got my full stainless steel midpipe, from cat till my exhaust! Sound is deeper now and no more leaking, finally!!!

also remounted 20mm spacers in the back. But i did find out that my rear left wheel is a liiiiiitle bit bend :( maybe its best to balance them out again.

You have a crooked torsion beam as well right man? What did you do to even out the offset of the rear wheels?

G-Ammo
05-18-2014, 12:52 PM
Deadliest:

Well I know someone here use Golf 2 GTI fender flares which fit quite nicely with some work on them (bit of welding)... but I think he already removed them.

You can maybe roll out ur stock fenders and twist them a bit to the outside. I'm not going too wide so I don't have to fuck with all that stuff.

RSYaris:

Thanks mate!!

tamrat:
you don't have to say the ''stupid'' infront of ''low''... maybe You just don't like it but you don't have to put it out there ;) everyone has his own style.

And about speedbumps... yes I live in Holland and drive mainly in belgium which the roads SUCK bigtime... and ALOT of speedbumps, buuuut you just have to plan your route before you go somewhere you don't know (using google maps mainly)... but I know how to conquer the speedbumps, so i'm not worried about speedbumps... im more worried about roads with holes in them or badly maintained ;). And then do some scraping here and there. My rear left rim as a little dent in it because of the bad roads... but it's minor.

Terence:
Crooked torsion beam? you mean like I have a bit of camber, but without any camber settings :P? if so.. then yes. my rear rims look like having 1 degree camber the less offset rims you put them on (which is pretty cool haha!).

I have 15x7 ET20 all around and use 20mm spacers in the back only ;)

tamrat
05-19-2014, 01:40 PM
i didnt mean lowering is stupid. i love lowered cars, i do plan to lower when I buy a yaris (you dont lower an SUV, especially a Surf :) ). its just that i have read quite a couple of posts with "stupid low" (its in quotation marks :) ) in them. i thought it was some kinda trend. sorry if i offended anyone out there.

15x7 ET25 front, 15x8 ET25 rear!

U like em? :D

Unless you run the spacer with the 8" wheel yes you will be more sunken in than currently but I have a feeling you WILL still run the spacer, not to mention 204/45 is a fat ass tire, what tire do you run now? isnt it like 185 something?

hey 1.5

Here's a friend who did this:
15x7 ET38 FRONT - 185/45/15
15x8 ET25 REAR - 205/45/15

It has exactly the same stretch... sure you want me to do the 195??

Anyone has some nice suggestions for 16''?

As far as I know i want the Enkei J-Speeds in 15''... but if anyone know some nice 16''?

I would like to have these measures then: 16x7 (offset 10-20 front) and 16x8 (offset 0-10) in the back

Just bought the wheels! JapPower.nl is going to order them and hopefully they're here within 3 weeks... pretty fast, but they will do their best!

I already sold my current Rota Grid-V's! Also to a Yaris owner, so it stays in the Yaris family haha!

So hopefully I'll have a new setup in August with brand new 195 Falken tyres!!

Also my next plan is to get a exhaust manifold :) they make those for the 1.0 3 cylinder engine so it seems! and they only cost 180 euro's...

So if I have that I do have a full exhaust system on a 1.0 liter engine! My friend who has an Aygo with the same engine says that the exhaust manifold will definatly give u more HP and noticable too... so thats pretty nice!

After that I'm going to clean my front bumper en respray the rear too!

Fucking shit guys... Enkei is giving me a hard time on the J-Speeds.... they didn't do the urgent order on them and they won't make them without one (dafuq ?) So I do have to make an urgent order, but still have to wait on their production scheme...

Buuuutttt Im also quite interested in the ''Stance Wheels'' rims...

Anyone got them? if so... are they good quality?

Im interested in the Stance Emotion 15x8 ET25 or Stance Mindset 15x8 ET25 (although the last one also looks like BBS, which I don't like because most people got those style rims)

How did you delete the rear wiper? Wasnt there something sticking out when you took the wiper off?

It is really easy, takes only about ten minutes. You can actually take the entire motor out. Nothing but a small hole, which he covered with that shiny thing.

G-Ammo
09-07-2014, 03:43 PM
Indeed like why? says :)

I took the motor out, only left in the wiring :) then I just sealed it with a plastic button and painted it the color of the car. Behind the button there's this rubbery thingy that will seal the hole from inside the trunk (so no water gets in!).

G-Ammo
09-07-2014, 03:45 PM
Well I have a smalle problem with the rims... the paint isn't good... the line between the black of the rims and where the polished part starts, isn't straight; so it looks like my wheel is wiggling :(

I am now talking to my Enkei dealer and they're trying to sort everything out with Enkei themselves...

Hope for the best !

Ok guys newsupdate:

So Enkei don't want to compensate for the costs to fix the paint on the rims...
So that sucks, because they say that you won't see the problem when putting on normal size tyres on the rim and that every Enkei wheeltype comes with different finishing.

Gladly Showoff Imports want to compensate 50% of the costs to fix the wheels and repaint the rims even though they lose money on it. So i took that offer and hopefully the wheels will be fixed next week!

G-Ammo
09-22-2014, 06:58 PM
Enkei's are fixed :) 3 weren't even straight... but all is good now ;)

New updates this week:

-Brembo brake discs (stock look though) with Textar brake pads.
-Going to paint the brake caliper gold with raidhp brake caliper kit!
-Back seat is out! going to fix some details to it with the rising sun flags, but need to think about it how to do that.
-Going to lower the back a bit more, so I need shorter springs for that, going to check out which ones I need for the BC Racing BR-RN series I have.

Photo's coming probably next week!

Btw, anyone knows which shorter springs I need to drop something about 1 or 2 cm in the rear?

ezhacker1

Just a word of advice, DONT MOUNT YOUR SEATBELTS THAT WAY!!!!!!

the angle that they come down is really dangerous when you are in an accident. Because they run down very steep, when you have an impact, the seatbelts will jerk you down instead of keeping you in your seat. This will create massive neck & shoulder injuries.

Racing harnesses should always be in a much more slope angle (90 degrees would be perfect)

i have mine attached to the rollcage like this

I think I found a harness bar from Cipher... at Andy's Autosport's website and I emailed him on what to do and if its a good one etc :)

So no worries guys, I'm trying to buy legit stuff from now on and do everything as right as possible within my budget!

I have harness that bolts to OEM seat belt chassis location. Strong as OEM.

I think you should Colour match it to the paint colour of the car. It would be like your turning the car inside out. And that the outside metal and paint flows into the car. If you can get what I'm saying.

G-Ammo
10-02-2014, 06:34 AM
I know, but the shit part is... I can't buy my car colour in shops anymore, because Toyota don't make them anymore. So that sucks, but most people agree actually with letting the rear strut bar in white, because Ultra Racing IS white :)... and I'm scared to f*ck up the rear bar with painting it.

Is it me, or is the harness bar bolts seem like its weak point. I dont have experience with a bar, but usually its wrapped around the bar and then bolted to a hard point.

Im always jealous of those that can HAVE a harness bar, with a 2 door, my routine passengers cant get in HAHA, not to mention i have only 1 race seat, cuz not all passengers are my size LOL.

aspro
10-02-2014, 04:36 PM
I second the jealousy. My goalie equipment bag takes up too much space in the back (literally the whole back end with the seats down) for me to have a harness bar let alone a strut tower bar.

I really like the last picture! It was made at Wangan Warrior's meet (that's one of the best known Japanese Car community in West-Europe, maybe even whole of Europe!)

Since you changed the steering wheel and the SRS light used to stay on, does that mean all the other bags are disabled as well? Car looks amazing as usual!

Thanks man :D

No i dont think they're all disabled... not sure though XD but I used a resistance thingy so the computer thinks there's an airbag in my steering wheel. But for our yearly checkup, they only look if any warning lights are on on the dash, if not, everything is ok :)

Where'd you get that resistance thingy? Haha I want to get an airbag override relay or whatever it's called if I happen to get a quick release set up.

TerenceCruz, you can use a resistor to bypass the airbag warning light. They look something like this:

54975
54976
54977

Once done, insert the resistors to the airbag terminals and secure them.

54978

Note: Google the right ohm for the resistors cause I forgot mine. :bellyroll:
