Greetings,

Made the attempt to replace my timing belt today, but had a dickens of a time trying to get the lower 14mm bolt to come loose!

Managed to round the bolt head in the process...

Left the setup as is and began a search for the replacement 14mm bolt...

sadly I cannot seem to find a resource for this part!

any help?

There's no timing belt on our Yaris. It is chain driven.

I think you may be referring to our drive belt. The bolt you speak of sir is the alternator lower bolt?

It is a bit of a pain to remove. What you need is a extension on your small ratchet.

Use a pipe on your 1/4 drive ratchet or maybe a small torque wrench would work.

And push ( anti clockwise) directions. You can purchase the bolt at your local toyota dealer.

when u put the new bolt in put a little anti-seize lube on the threads for easy removal the next time you need to adjust or replace the serpentine belt. a swivel ratchet with a long handle works pretty good too.
