Ok I blew my car up in feb and have been waiting til we get a house to get a car. Well we decided that since my gf's car is messing up we need another car more than a house. Well went looking for a car and it seems that it is harder to get approved for a used car than it is for a new car. Well I hate the aveo and the fit so I opted for the yaris. It is a 07 black liftback manual with the cold weather package and a cd player. If it wasnt the fact that I would be paying 500 a month and it would take months to get the one I want I wouldnt of settled for a base model. I am paying 396 a month because I wanted the 6yr warranty. But I am going in the airguard next year so I will just use the 7500 sign on bonus to pay most of it off than refinance to get lower payments.

Ok just got it last night and they still had to make sure I was going to get financed. Well I guess toyota wont do it without atleast 400bux down. I have a credit score of like 540 and my gf co-signed and she has a score of like 630-650. I make 2200 a month and she makes like 1k and gets 210bux a month for child support. That is like 3410 yet we cant get approved is that bull or what. That and I was going to end up paying 396 a month.

Well I guess I didnt get a yaris. They said they were not able to get me approved. It is bull I make 12.71 an hr and have a 540 credit score. Shoot and my gf has a 650 or so which neather is good but it not bad. I guess I will just get some 1000 dollar beater and save close to 500 a month. Than when I get out of the air guard I will just go to a different toyota dealer and put that 7500 down on a yaris or a tc.

You're better off not getting it with the payments you would have been making. saving up a little and dropping a down payment would save you in the long run big time. I was a first time buyer and dont have great credit but with a couple k down i got an ok interest rate like 10.99 so payments are around 216.

I had hard time getting approved by toyota when I bought my previous car (2001 echo, and I bought it last year) and I had to give 1000$ down and my wife co-signed....When I bought my yaris 2 weeks ago didn't had any problem for approval and my credit is kinda messy...somethime it just depend on how the guy feel at the other end:frown: check with your bank sometime it works out but the interest rate is little more than with the dealer...

Yeah I was going to drop the warranty but cant do anything now. Looking at this 93 eclipse 2.0L for like 1k. It will get me around plus my buddy has a parts car I can have. Than when get out sell the eclipse and use that plus the 7500 as a down payment on maby a yaris or a tc.

I had a 94 talon(same thing as eclipse) with the 1.8 and I loved it so the 2.0 can only be better. Nice low seating with sporty suspension and peppy engine.

DSM's are cool. If you can find one in decent condition for 1k and you have the parts to back it from your friends car i say jump on it. With lil effort you'll have a fun car in the meantime while you wait.

Yeah I am going to try and rebuild the extra motor I will have. Well that and swap the manual tranny into it.

They have it listed at like 999 but I am going to offer 800 cash. My father inlaw said he will loan me 1k. Or I think I am going to check with my band and try to get a loan for what kbb is in good condition. Even in fair condition it is worth like 2k. So if I can get a loan for like 2500 I can rebuild the extra motor and get the tranny cleaned up and a new clutch in it. That or if anyone knows someone in the ks area that is selling a festiva.

Yeah and the car had 56 miles on it when I got it and I have already put over 400 miles on it. So they cant even sell it as a new car now. I was going to end up paying 28k for it if I didnt end up going in the airguard.

Well I returned it no problem so it all good. And I may go back after training and get somehting else. The dealer didnt wrong me it isnt there fault I couldnt get approved. If I dont just keep this eclipse I am getting I will eather get a tc, svt focus, or a yaris with as many options I can get.
