I have been thinking about getting a Yaris and went and looked at this one.

http://www.kijiji.ca/v-view-details.html?adId=1031011321

The seller was originally asking $4900, has gone down to $3900 and I was thinking of offering $3500
It has the 4 speaker stereo system and the air conditioning which I know would hike the new price a bit.
The car is mint inside and out. No signs of rust anywhere I looked. A few dings on the outside and some rubbing from use on the inside are the only flaws I could see.

Do I need to be worried about the high kilometers? Is this a good buy?

Well, I went ahead and bought the car before I got an answer to this post. It was a time sensitive post and I can't believe it took over 5 days for a mod to view this post and post it.
The car is indeed rust-free and only needed the trunk latch fixed, an alignment, and some winter tires to put me on the road. And at our current 94.8 cents per litre, the Yaris was fully filled up with just $38.50. Hopefully this car is as reliable and economical as so many make it out to be.

Have the control arm bolts checked out for corrosion.

Looks like they took the ad down so I couldn't see the km it has.:iono:

The Yaris is a very worthy car and I wish you the best with your new one.

If you have any questions/problems just ask at this forum and you'll get help pronto.:headbang:

Reading the forum every day will help you get acquainted with the car and the people here.

3500$ is such avg price for a Yaris. Obviously, it would've gone for 5000+$ in the States....
