Hey everyone, I am new to the forum and a new Yaris owner!

Our other car is the "family car" (a 2014 Mazda5), so I was looking for the cheapest, lowest mileage, most fuel efficient, most reliable, and least depreciable car (or rather the right balance of these factors) for commuting to the metro here in Miami. I also love driving stick, it would need to be my "stick fix".

I finally settled on a private party car that was listed on my local craigslist: a 2007 Yaris liftback in manual transmission! It has manual windows and manual door locks as well.

She's got 29,000 miles on her, no accidents. I am the third owner. The second owner bought it CPO in California, where it lived until 20,000 miles. The first owner was a little old lady who never drove it... of course. The second owner only put about 15,000 miles on it in 3 years, so he barely drove it too. All maintenance records.

Had a fresh oil change, new intake filter, a/c filter, and battery. So far I've installed the TRD shift knob, ordered the factory arm rest, and got the recalls done. I think I really lucked out on this one! Here she is:

I forgot to add: a car with direct-inject-only fuel injection was out of the question! Glad I can still get 40MPG out of her (possibly even more when I swap to 5w20), without all the carbon buildup.

Fantastic find. Never ceases to surprise me when I come across a 2007 with less miles than mine. Nearly half as many in this case. Congrats.

Thanks! Really quite pleased with this purchase. I was torn between this and a 2012 Yaris MT with about 45K miles. The 2012 had been in a minor accident with questionable repairs, not nearly as well maintained, and was about $2,500 more.

Although the 2012 is a safer car, I really prefer the design (both exterior and interior) of the 2007.

^^^^^ This. Amazing. Other than the sun fading the seats, it looks pretty much brand new . Congrats!

Thanks! It is like-new. That's why I bought it :) The seats don't look nearly as faded (not at all?) in real life. I think it's just the camera exposure. Gotta love california cars...

I agree, it is becoming more of a rare find as time goes on.

But anyways, congrats! You take great care of her and she'll never let you down (speaking from previous experience).
