Maintenance Light at 80k

Any idea why this has come on? Not time for an oil change. Car running fine.

Maintenance light turns on every 5k miles since last reset.

BTW, you could go on forever without oil change and still be "fine".

Probably...

But what I'm saying is that it hasn't been 5k miles since it was last on (when I was last due for an oil change, which is why it comes on every 5k miles)...

It's only been less than 1k miles and it's on again, so is there some other "recommended maintenance" that would trigger this at 80k?

How do you go about resetting the maint light?

Set the odometer to Trip One and turn off the ignition. (the selections are ODO, Trip 1, and Trip 2)

With the ignition off hold the odo changing lever in. Turn on the ignition with continuing to hold the lever in.

Done.
