A woman backed into the driver's door on my red 2010 HB (manual windows and locks). The appraiser said they would replace the door rather than just a new outer panel. I found 2 red used doors after a search but they would have to be shipped. The cost is about $500.00 with shipping. Any thoughts on going this way? Thanks for any input, Bill C

Try car-parts.com, which is a database of junkyard parts. You might be able to find one closer, although $500 shipped is actually a pretty good deal for a full door (a 3 dr one weighs about 80 lbs) and particularly if it doesn't need to be painted. Also, remember that you can use one of any year between 06 and 11. You will just need to move your door panel over if it is an 06-08 door.

Scott, thanks for the link. There are 2 red doors that are local that are available. I will go Monday to check them out. Bill

I picked up a door off an 07 locally for $350.00. Not perfect (a small scratch and one parking lot ding) but the hinges came with it. I will need to change the lock, the interior panel (different fabric design), and mount my mirror on it. Should I mount it first or change everything over before I mount it? Thanks for any thoughts, Bill C

Either way would be fine. You will save a little weight by removing the parts to swap over first, and with how heavy the door is, every bit helps.
