Hello,

Happy new year! I'm looking for some parts and labor for my Yaris. I live in Los Angeles and am looking for:

front sway bar
comfort clutch
comfort shocks/struts
ride comfort equipment
short shifter
shift comfort equipment

What I'm trying to do is buy the parts, and have a local mechanic do the tough things I cant do.
Well, I can do the struts and shocks myself, but I have manual hand tools, so it takes me 15 hours it seems. I can do minor enhancements, thats all.
But the clutch needs some tuning or to be replaced. Also, I dont know if its the gear box, but my clutch is so jumpy, never smooth.
Now, I found one shop about 20 miles north of LA that specialize in small car enhancements, but my budget says, "after hours mechanic".
I so badly want to be part of a aftermarket Yaris community, but I'm a kitchen cook why gets paid shit to work my ass off.
If any of you can respect a well made meal that is made for you with care and honest regard to your health and enjoyment, than please help a person with a dream!

Ok, I’ll bite. What are your expectations? I’m confused as to what your job as a chef has to do with modifying your car.

Oh Captain, my Captain. I guess me being a cook has nothing to do with the fact that I need car parts and labor. I guess i'm trying to fish for emotional response, maybe with empathy, or holiday spirit. Because I know how expensive this hobby can be and I'm trying to get it across that I'm on a budget.
Now that I got you to bite, I'll explain what I'm looking for.
Your input on replacement clutch ( if you've ever, what would you recommend)
Your input on respectable sway bar (front and or rear)
Your input on Discount parts or shops in my local area.

I trust that this community is knowledgeable in the aftermarket parts community for this car, so I would trust the people who work hands on with this stuff, have tried it, and who can give real time advice on what is what.

Sounds like your clutch is worn out. Stock is smooth and very progressive. I have a full face ACT with a heavy duty plate and it's progressive like stock but with a faster take up.

With a worn out clutch you loose the progression
