Exhaust leak at 20k km

Has anyone else experienced an exhaust leak coming out about the driver's door with low milage?

I'm noticing mid range rpm it goes out the side, instead of the rear

probably a bad gasket or somethings not tight, when did it stop, did you bring it into a shop recently.

It's been going about 2k km now. I didn't notice any event that would cause it to change

Start the engine, and have a helper block the tail pipe with something like a piece of 2X4.

You’ll find the exhaust leak pretty quickly.

via toyotaworld or we forum i found it on, standard procedure as they are the same engine and design as a 2010

Ok dealers have said they can hear it but there is nothing to fix.


Maybe I'm wrong does anyone else get a deafening drone from the factory exhaust 3000+rpm underload

Toyota Canada says that unless a dealer says there is a problem they will not cover it
